Comin up this Wednesday.

INSIDE VOICES is a collective of organizers that rotate leadership in curation. We also rotate locations to highlight different spaces around the area.

IV 006 is going to be held in a new sanctuary space in town - @nelsonschoolofyoga . In this IV instalment, I have taken the lead in curation with a lineup of artists that are all very different from eachother.

We set the tone for the night with @stacey.arseneau drenching us in sound from large collection of singing bowls accompanied by the ambient selections of @robert.e.livingood

Next up we have @rosssoooo collecting some sound samples from the audience to use in his performance later in the night.

@pls_lve (Hampton) will take us on a multi-instrumental journey of live looping, often improvising off of the energy of the moment.

@rosssoooo returns with the sounds sampled earlier, building it into a performance with a beat machine.

Lastly, @_shelajit_ plays the guzheng harp over their downtempo productions while @changeling.movement performs a modern take on traditional Chinese folk dance in her original flower dress design.

You’re welcome to sit, lie down, draw, stretch, or simply listen.

Tea is now included in your ticket purchase. Learn more about the performers

The pudd that could.

Pudding is my dream girl and I don’t care that she has kleptomania. She can steal my rolling papers, onion skins, dollar bills and gardening gloves if she damn well wants to. by @devonecru

Artist Info:

@mr.dr.brotherman — Piano Set —

Half-baked savant and multi-instrumentalist sharing downtempo piano magic from a parallel cinematic dimension from his mind, songs from films that never existed.

@electrojacquestherapy — Violin/Vocal Looper —

Jacques Mindreau makes music for the soul and the human spirit. He uses violin and lyrical voice to combine fresh and sometimes haunting orchestral sounds into vocal and string loops.

@devonecru — VocalLooping /Lap Harp / Kalimba—

Ecru’s music is a portal — where looping minimalism and otherworldly vocals invite the listener back into their body. Harmonies intertwined with bells and strings will take you on a meditative journey.

@lauleetah (Arbuta) — Guitarist/Singer —

A soul, jazz, and pop music enthusiast, she weaves together these favourite styles through the sharing of her life’s most moving moments, thoughts, and experiences.

3 weeks into quitting smoking spliffs and my ADHD is blasting off. I’m putting my annoying energy into making art and dressing up to go to the grocery store. Thanks for putting up with me everyone who loves me. by @devonecru
