it’s such an intriguing & eerie sensation to always feel a lot of different emotions on this day. enamored by learning to always be conscious of the boy in this image & how often he hides behind my demeanor like a shy curl peeking from behind my ear. throughout the years slowly teaching him to be gentle, affectionate, to sharpen his mind & tounge. every year is a reminder to try be gentle with yourself & appreciative there’s even warmth in your chest. that you’re here, that you survived being there, & that you can feel the sun on your face, anywhere. with so much love, from the quiet boy with the afro. 🎂🖤 by @devonkayne
