LAST SHOW 💙 Thank you to everyone who has shown love and support throughout this entire Cure-8 process. There truly are no words to describe the gratitude, growth, and healing I’ve experienced through this journey.

I’ve learned to trust myself, my creative direction, and most importantly, my heart. This process challenged me, stretched me, and reminded me why I create in the first place.

Thank you to my incredible cast @ammiiiyyaah @hailamkhuynh @kansasrain @ra3ray4 @ava.conceicao @blakelyarledge @yazlynsaenz for being a part of my vision and bringing it to life in a way no one else could. I’m so grateful for each of you and everything you poured into this piece.

To my fellow choreographers @the_horns @rileyy.hall @sophiasmith.creates @sailorstolemyglove, thank you for being my sisters in art. Your unconditional support, love, encouragement, and willingness to grow alongside me made this experience even more special.

Thank you to my mentor @theekaramack for being the best mentor I could have asked for. Your guidance, trust, and belief in me meant more than I can put into words.

And thank you to @hpoos @sahayden7 @rogueokie for providing one of the most beautiful and supportive creative experiences I’ve ever had.

Cure-8 will always hold a special place in my heart. 💙 by @devontaaee

Thursday is Opening Night for Cure-8 & I’ve been sitting here trying to express how much this show means to me. I’ve been quietly witnessing a shift in myself that I can only describe as healing watching these works. These five young choreographers have taken on the complexities of our world and bravely reflected back exactly what we need to see. These dancers are sacrificing themselves in a way most could not and doing so generously…somehow. It feels indescribably important to the shaping of my character as a person and to our collective understanding of what and how we need to change. You must come, not because I’m asking but because you too will see that the future in the hands of young people is the opposite of bleak, it’s powerful. But only if we offer the right kind of support and encouragement. I’ll see you there. Hui. @racedanceco @sparklahoma @mattavra @whitneyredding0520 taken in Oklahoma Contemporary by @devontaaee
