Polo—a noble game of strategy and strength! There's nothing quite like watching a fiercely contested game and the joyous pride that radiates from the winners after they receive their trophy. East Hampton Library’s 22nd annual Authors Night brought more than 2,000 guests and 100 authors together beneath the tent at Herrick Park for one of the Hamptons’ most beloved summer traditions. This year’s extraordinary lineup included Robert A. Caro, Jay McInerney, Karine Jean-Pierre, Don Lemon, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Amy Chozick, Xochitl Gonzalez, Chris Pavone, Beth Stern, John Searles, Eddie Glaude, Bianna Golodryga, Michael Symon, and many more.

For more than two decades, Authors Night has created something increasingly rare: an evening devoted to books, ideas, and conversation. Readers move from table to table, meeting favorite writers, discovering new ones, and leaving with personally inscribed books. When the tent closes, the evening continues at private dinners honoring authors in homes throughout East Hampton, where conversations carry on late into the night.

Beyond the remarkable names, that intimacy is what makes Authors Night so special. Writers and readers are brought together by curiosity and a shared love of stories, creating connections that can last long after a summer evening ends. 📚✨ @easthamptonlibrary by @devorah_rose

This past weekend, Devorah Rose and Kaleta Blaffer Johnson hosted an intimate sunset dinner celebrating Sterling Dio of The Studio Mayfair. Leaders of industry sat beside artists, movie starlets beside literary icons, and fashion’s next generation beside those who have defined it.

As golden hour gave way to candlelight, Sterling shared the story of building The Studio Mayfair from a guest bedroom floor into one of fashion’s most exciting new voices, reminding us that the most enduring style begins with intention. The cocktails flowed, the conversations lingered long after dessert, and it became one of those rare evenings that reminded us why people still gather around a table in the first place. by @devorah_rose

This conversation, this article, has stayed with me all summer because of the idea at its center: Happiest in the Moment. I believe life is the stringing together of countless nows. We spend so much time waiting for the next milestone, believing happiness exists somewhere ahead of us, when in reality our lives are happening in the present. The moments we choose to notice become the lives we create and remember.

A huge part of my life is writing. And for me, interviewing people isn’t about collecting quotes. It’s about exploring how we make sense of the world. Every conversation teaches me something about what it means to live. Beneath our different stories, most of us are searching for the same things: peace, happiness, purpose, balance, and love.

Christie Brinkley reminded me that gratitude is a way of seeing the world. After decades of success, what stood out most was her presence, her optimism, and her deep appreciation for the beauty in everyday life. This story hit the streets at the beginning of the summer, but I’ve never been someone who posts according to a schedule. I share what moves me, when it moves me. And thank you to @people for featuring and covering the story. by @devorah_rose

Before Social Life was something you could hold in your hands, Justin said to me, “I’m either starting a nightclub or a magazine.” As an English major who spent most of her time writing and editing, I said, “Start the magazine. I’ll help.”

Funny how a single conversation can quietly shape an entire life. What began as a magazine became, for me, a front row seat to the Hamptons and New York. The people, the traditions, the ambition, the glamour, and all the beautiful chaos behind the scenes. Twenty plus years of observing it, living it, documenting it, and thinking deeply about the meaning of it all.

This cover was especially meaningful because it brought me back together with some of the people I started this journey with. I had the pleasure of casting, producing, creative directing, and interviewing our lovely cover star, @erinelairmoriarty

Across the Hamptons, there are signs of the work being done by Group for the East End. The osprey nests that have become part of our landscape. The turtles that are rescued and rehabilitated. The protection of our waters and wetlands from pollution and waste toxicity. These things do not happen by accident. They happen because people like Katherine Leahy Birch care enough to roll up their sleeves and get involved. It was deeply meaningful to celebrate Katherine at Saddle Up for Conservation and support an organization whose impact can be seen every single day. What an inspiring and very fun night!!! by @devorah_rose
