1st time working with IPE (Brazilian walnut). Man this stuff is hard! 3600 on the janka hardness scale vs American black walnut at 1010.I did make two of these benches. One for us and one for a customer. This outdoor bench is placed at our Camp DeVo RV/camping destination in Houston, Alaska. by @devoswoodcraft

Artistic-style window frame built around the window glass from the Saint Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church. Built in 1968 in Prince William Sound, Alaska.After the church was remodeled, some of the original pieces, including this window, were auctioned off. The window is now owned by the president of the Alaska Native corporation Tatitlek, who wanted a custom frame built to complement the old amber stained glass.This one was brutal. Probably the most technical woodworking project I’ve taken on to date.Some nights I had to just walk away and come back another day. by @devoswoodcraft

Custom built dining table with matching bench just delivered.Alaskan birch with a rustic walnut-style stain. Our birch here doesn’t grow that big, so this top is made from five slabs glued into one.The customer wanted the bench to slide under, so I built an X-style frame out of 3" x 1.5" x .125" box.Sure nice to see this build in such a fitting place. by @devoswoodcraft

This one was brutal, probably my most technical woodworking project to date. Some nights I had to just walk away and come back another day. Finished this window frame a month ago and will have a full build video at some point. Original window frame/glass was out of a church built in 1968. by @devoswoodcraft

Working on my honey-do list. My wife has been asking for countertops for a few years now.These came out pretty sweet!This walnut was a 20-year-old barn find, from what I was told. Tons of character, but also a huge pain. Knots, cracks, and inclusions everywhere that made for a lot of extra work. by @devoswoodcraft
