yo! on halloween eve (friday october 30th) there will be a cover show to raise money for the dane county homeless justice initiative. they provide crucial support to people in our area experiencing homelessness, especially as the winter rolls in. six local bands (including two new ones!) will be covering bands they love. learn the words, sing along, the mic is yours!

hardcore is so special because it can give you an accessible way to be part of something bigger than yourself. the people at these shows want to meet you, talk about your interests, share music, and be friends. every person has more in common than they would expect. bridge the gap where you can!

see you at the oregon youth center at 6:30pm on 10/30! bring a friend, wear a costume, and try to scrounge up some cash to donate to the cause. see you there! by @devotionbooking

next friday, july 31st, the beloved quad cities quartet that makes up @patronxsaints and @xgivemereasonx will be playing at the unitarian church with support from @_clearthegap_ (wish them well on their august tour!) and @lettertomyself.wi celebrating the release of their upcoming ep! lots of love and friendship in one room, come be a part!

in more serious news, the madison police department executed a man on willy street yesterday. in tremendously difficult times like these, we’ve got to lean on each other and do what we can to push for progress. in our little corner of the world, we are all very familiar with coming together and organizing around things we believe in. all proceeds from this show will go to freedom, inc. an organization that has been leading the fight for justice for Corey Ruiz, and works to end poverty, violence, and discrimination in our community. by @devotionbooking
