From the long practices to the game days, the wins, the losses, the laughter, and even the stressful moments… I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. Serving as Head Captain for the 2025-2026 season was one of the greatest honors of my college career, and being recognized as an All-CIAA Cheerleader was a blessing I’ll never take lightly. Every moment shaped me into the woman and leader I am today.

Being chosen to be a part of such an amazing legacy is something I will forever be grateful for. Being a Woo Woo is always bigger than just cheering on the sidelines — it brings pride, excellence, sisterhood, tradition, and family. It means even more to me because my love for VSU started long before college. Going to Woo Woo Community Camp when I was younger played such a huge role in why I chose Virginia State in the first place. I grew up looking up to this program and dreaming about being a part of it one day, so the fact that I was able to live that dream, wear the orange and blue, lead this team, and leave my own mark on this legacy means everything to me.

To my coaches — thank you for seeing something in me and trusting me to lead this team. Thank you for every correction, every word of encouragement, every lesson, and every opportunity to grow. You all pushed me past limits I didn’t even know I had and helped mold me into a stronger athlete, leader, and person overall. Your support and belief in me truly meant more than words can explain, and I’ll forever be grateful for everything you poured into me throughout this journey.

To Spirit ‘23 — thank y’all for becoming my family away from home. Thank you for every laugh, every late-night talk, every practice where we had to lock in, and every moment where we showed up for each other no matter what. We built bonds that go way deeper than cheer, and I’ll cherish those memories forever. Being able to share this journey with y’all made every single moment special, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of women to grow with. I love us 🥹🥹 #Big23

Four years ago, I walked into the College of Business with ambition, uncertainty, and a vision for myself that was still growing. Today, I walk away with knowledge, experiences, relationships, and accomplishments that shaped me into the woman I prayed to become.

The Reginald F. Lewis College of Business challenged me to think bigger, lead confidently, and never settle for average. From late nights studying, presentations, networking events, leadership opportunities, and moments where I doubted myself, every experience pushed me closer to the person I am today.

I’m grateful for every professor, mentor, classmate, friend, and supporter who poured into me along this journey. Thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, and reminding me that I belonged in every room I stepped into.

This chapter wasn’t always easy, but it was worth it. I leave this institution with more than a degree — I leave with growth, discipline, resilience, lifelong memories, and a legacy I’m proud of.

To the School of Business, thank you for preparing me for the next chapter of life and business. I will forever carry the lessons, connections, and confidence this experience gave me.

Lastly, thank you to @julypcoleman & @vsuvcan for giving me the blessing to leave college debt free🙌🏾. I will forever be grateful, Amen!!
