I haven’t had the heart to make this post but this is for Noah and for everyone who knew and loved him. In 2007 I was in 7th grade and was introduced to a boy in the 4th grade. What’s a middle school girl and an elementary school boy have in common? Not too much but very quickly I thought “man this kid is alright.” Little did I know that boy would become my best friend, and eventually my brother. My heart will always be full of all of the memories we created together over the years. The good, the bad, the most ridiculous funny ones. The cups of milk, sleeping on the floor next to my bed every night, sneaking out, dealing with parents, rescuing kittens, laughing together until we fell asleep. I know one day we’ll be together to laugh about all of it again.
You did something for me that changed my life. Because of you, I met Jordan, and what would become my second family. I can never thank you enough for that.
Im writing this out and I’m still questioning if you’re really gone. I just can’t make sense of this. I’m still waiting for you to walk through our front door and tell us you’re okay. It’ll be a long wait but Jordan and I will have so much to tell you when we see you again.
