••It’s Me! Hi!••

I got some new glasses and felt like I should post a picture and reintroduce myself.

Some fun facts about me:
🎀give me hot or iced coffee please
🌸I was a first grade teacher for 9 years
🦩Now I’m a stay at home mom to my two boys (ages 4 and 2)
💍 I am married to my handsome farmer husband (10 years!)
🌷My sons and I go to the library once a week. Picture books are so fun! I’m not sure who is more excited to look at books.
🪩 I love creating activities for my sons to use. I sell them on teachers pay teachers: if you are looking for preschool, kindergarten or first grade activities, let me know!
🩷I love watching sports. My favorites are hockey (Go Avs!) and baseball (Go Twins and Rockies!)
🍒I have no interest in celebrity drama unless it’s The Real Housewives
🥂I’m a cider, sweet white wine, or rosé kind of girl
📓Jobs I think would be fun: school/children’s librarian or elementary art teacher

What do we have in common? Thanks for being here! 🫶🏼

••purple and orange••

Another fun color combination! Purple is my favorite color. We had different shades of purple as the colors of our wedding. Our kitchen is a lavender color.

I am loving It’s Different This Time. I love Adam! He’s the perfect mmc. I love the theater aspect. I’m hoping to finish it today. All of these fall New York books make me want to visit.

💬have you been to New York?

••candy corn stack••

It’s candy corn season! I always buy some during fall, but never want them any other time. So do I like them or do I like them because it’s fall?

••current read••

Happy Tuesday! I’m finally reading Grim Tidings! With only 130 pages left, I’m loving it of course. I’m anxious to see how it ends. B.K. Borison is one of the queens of romance for me. A little bit of magic, spice, and all the yearning. Perfect for a fall read.

💬what is your ideal fall read? Thriller, romance, fantasy, other?

••sunshine••

This weather is the perfect weather for fall. Sunshine and 70s. My husband took the boys for a few hours yesterday morning to feed cows and combine. I joined them later. My few hours alone at home were amazing. I was able to do a little bit of house chores and a whole lot of reading outside in the sunshine. I finished Everyone in the Group Chat Dies. It was predictable and sometimes boring. The main character was not mature at all. Now, I started Grim Tidings, one of my most anticipated reads for the fall! Thank you @thebookmarkery for supplying the cutest bookmarks and mugs!

💬are you watching football or reading today? Both for me!

••book rec••

I am not really a YA reader, but I will always read Lynn Painter’s books! Fake Skating is still my favorite of hers. Trust Fall is a close second! Damion gave me first season Nathan from One Tree Hill vibes combined with Tristan from Gilmore Girls. Julia was first season Rory when she goes to Chilton. This is the perfect fall read for rags to riches!

💬Did you watch One Tree Hill or Gilmore Girls?

••pumpkin stack••

Happy Wednesday! We have been having the best weather for park days this week. We are worn out by the end of the day. It hardly feels like fall with the warm weather, but we are starting to see some leaves change and combines out in the fields.

••what this week••

Here’s what I’m up to this week:

📖 Reading: I’m hoping to finish If It Makes You Happy. I love it so much, so I guess I don’t want to finish it 🤣

📺 Watching: hockey is back!!!! We’ve been watching the Avs and playoff baseball.

☕️ Drinking: hot cup of coffee this morning. Cooler mornings make that morning cup even better.

💕Loving: cooler days, pumpkins, coloring with my boys, reading books, snuggles, play dates

••currently reading••

I finished Hollow Bones yesterday afternoon. That book was full of so many heavy topics. I needed something to boost my mood. The cover alone of this book makes me happy. The fact that it’s set in the fall of 1997? Topping on the cake!

💬plans for the weekend? We have our homecoming parade today.

••happy national coffee day••

One of the best days of the year…national coffee day! I’m celebrating with my first latte of the day-brown sugar cookie butter. Also, my jaw just DROPPED at the end of part one of Hollow Bones.

💬What’s in your coffee cup today?
