Signal Geometry No. 1 — Opening Signal

Spray paint on 22×30 cold-pressed paper.

The first transmission in a new series.

Sharp geometric structures interrupted by lines of color — signals cutting through the silence. Architecture, movement, tension… reduced to pure geometry and atmosphere.

Sometimes abstraction feels less like decoration
and more like a message waiting to be decoded.

Desire never whispers — it marks, stains, and insists on being felt.

This mixed media piece layers fragmented portraits through image transfers, sealed beneath artist resin on a wood panel. Faces surface and disappear through texture and light, suggesting how memory and longing are never fixed, only rewritten over time.

Spray painted across the work is the katakana: desire. Bold, confrontational, and impossible to ignore, it cuts through the quieter layers beneath it like an emotional signal flare. It asks a simple question: are we shaped more by what we remember…or by what we crave?

The resin acts as both preservation and barrier — holding these tensions in suspension while creating a glass-like depth that shifts as the viewer moves.

This piece is about hunger, identity, and the versions of ourselves we reveal versus the ones we conceal.
