I went into this mission with a bit of fear that I would be a completely different person beyond recognition and with a lot of doubt+feeling of unworthiness for this calling but with 0 expectations for what lay ahead. I always heard that God is close to the poor but I never thought He’d let me experience it firsthand in this way. The people I encountered gave whatever they had in such abundance, seeking absolutely nothing in return. Being on the receiving end of this love and sharing in their joy, is one of the most privileged experiences I’ve ever had. That non-transactional nature of love I experienced from those around me is what finally set into my bones the way that He loves me.

I wrote up a whole thing that dove deeper trying to share everything ive received and the pain, struggle, love, freedom, curiosity, awareness etc. with whoever reads this but i realized that words don’t do it justice, so ill let yall experience it for yourself in your own paths. BUT I can share that it changes your life, not in the ways that you expected or through the people/places that you’d think, or in the season of life that you hoped for but instead, when you finally stop running to everything else (or at least that’s how it was for me🙃).

A lot has changed, I have changed, but some things have also stayed the same like struggles in fath & life (which i gaslighted myself into thinking God would erase after mission even though I know He doesn’t work like that🤡) but the ways in which I react most definitely have.

I think that’s what our everyday mission comes down to- how we react- not depending on the circumstances we’re in or the ppl in our lives but how we’ve experienced Him and reflecting that authentically in our lives.

Idk how to express how grateful and blessed I am for these 4 months in Ecuador but all i pray for is a faith that reminds us we’re each made for more and that He may flow into us so that we may each overflow :)

emotional goodbyes w parents and ecuador prep 3 days after coming back from India with not a single thing processing in the slightest 😀👍🏼

this beach trip was so genuinely healing just full of joy so so free literally felt like a kid again w sum of my faves thx for bringing that out gang 🤞🏼

we stayed with the most beautiful family shoutout yamille chech and jithin chettan hope to see you very soon ✈️🫶🏼

SoN peeps we love & miss ur chaos convos and quirks👯‍♂️
