one of my first friends in nashville was a 70-year-old man. if you’ve lived here or visited me, chances are i’ve invited you out to his bar.

i have a terrible habit of not minding my business, and he had the wonderful habit of telling stories to anyone who wanted to listen. we got along great.

he built a family out here that he let me be part of. he knew magic tricks and was the real Santa. i really thought he’d live forever. a piece of old nashville goes with him, and so does a piece of me.

we know i'll take any chance to advocate for a good cause and relish in being under 30 ✨ i'm so excited to be an honoree for Nashville's Top 30 Under 30 Finest! i'll be spending now until August 6th fundraising for @cfftennessee, participating in professional development courses and hanging out with my 29 new pals and our mentors. if you're reading this, i so hope you'll check out my fundraising page (🔗 in 🅱️io) and donate if you're able, learn about cystic fibrosis, and reach out to me with any questions about the foundation or how to get involved this summer!

it’s been a whole year since my dad died! that is 365 days without my best & favorite dude! all of them have kind of sucked eggs and at least been really hard tbh.

it’s especially hard because we were very very obsessed with each other and I’ve accidentally tried to call him no less than 8 millions times to tell him about all of the insane and cool people and things i encounter and how grateful i am to exist at the same time as those people and things.

also we didn’t get a lot of great pictures after i got my gap fixed but before he left earth. that's hard too.

please be like, very nice to me (and everyone else for that matter), please get all of your scary horrible routine health checks that you’ve been dreading done on time, and most importantly, please keep your thermostats at a reasonable & conservative 78 degrees this summer. 👨‍🦰🫶✨ by @dewingthemost
