Fishing Fleet sketches using relief printing inks and cardboard to scrape the colours directly into the paper. Such lovely inks, really rich in pigment, Caligo safe wash from @intaglioprintmaking ❤️

I love the Hastings fishing fleet and the tractors that winch them onto the beach. I have spent many years photographing them. I’m hoping to do some mixed media sketches/ prints this week to bring something new to my next exhibition.

Another photo from my studio, after a wild and windy few days.
The frothy, turbulent sea along the Sussex coast painted with detail and strong tonal contrast amplifying the energy of the waves.

Completed my painting on World Ocean day!
Oceans cover more than 70% of the Earth’s surface, produce over half of the world’s oxygen, and provide food and livelihoods for millions. However, threats such as overfishing, plastic pollution, and climate change continue to harm marine environments.
