Synopsis/Review:

Pounced for Trouble is a fantastic shifter Romance book covering the story of Andreas "Andy" Resa, a special ops agent. It covers his burgeoning relationship with Vera, an out-of-control vigilante whose sole focus, initially, is to almost single-handedly take down a secret Organisation who are harming shifters.

You get to meet Lettie again in this book, his fiery daughter who makes me laugh out loud with some of her antics. Also his whirlwind of a Sister and Montgomery "Monty" from the first book Ducked for Christmas which at first I thought was a euphemism but it is about ducks.

Pounced for Trouble made me smile at the banter and the yearning. It warned my heart as it is about allowing someone to be your rock, someone who truly sees you and provide a safe space just by being there. I enjoyed the dual point-of-view telling of the book as you are provided the opportunity to see the yearning, joy, frustration, tenderness and fear that runs throughout the book from both sides.

I absolutely adored the first book Ducked for Christmas too. Whilst they are separate stories, I believe it does help to read them in order as it provides some of the background information which helps in book 2. They aren't huge reads, around 300-400 pages, but they are jam packed with great story telling.

Whilst it is essentially a shifter Romance book it is spicy (edited: I also forgot to say it does also cover dark subject matters). You should read the trigger warnings on the Author's website before reading.
