POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Okay, friends, it’s spooky season and we are SO ready for it. 👻 We’re doing a giveaway, and all we need is your dog showing off their best trick!

Here’s how to join in:
1️⃣ Post a story of your pup doing their very best trick
2️⃣ Tag us so we can see it 👀
3️⃣ Cross your paws and wait for the magic ✨

One lucky dog is taking home ALL of this:
🕸️ Dexter’s Deli Chicken Jerky
👹 Finley’s Monster Snacks
🦇 Wild Meadow Egg Puffs
🕷️ Choice of Smallbatch Hearts
💀 Polka Dog Smoked Salmon Skins
🧙‍♀️ Choice of Stella & Chewy’s Wild Weenies
🪄 Choice of Green Juju Whole Food Bites

Sit, shake, spin, play dead (dramatic flair gets bonus love 😉). We truly can’t wait to see what your goofballs come up with. Let’s get festive and a little spooky together! 🐾

Good luck, you guys!

One more teeny thing… all entries must be San Diego Only as you will come in to pick up your prize at one of our three lovely San Diego locations. :) taken in Dexter's Deli by @dexters.deli

Can you believe it? Our North Park store is celebrating 10 YEARS!
We feel like we're officially part of the neighborhood now — a local mainstay where every dog knows our name. Seriously! We can hear the dogs BARKING with excitement from their cars as their humans pull into our parking lot. They know exactly where they're going!

And speaking of our parking lot - let's give a little love to that wacky parking situation of ours. Anyone who's tried to park in North Park knows it's a dog-eat-dog world out there. We're just grateful to have a parking lot to call our own, even if navigating it sometimes feels like an agility course!

Our North Park store really is a special place. We're incredibly fortunate that our building is family-owned by passionate dog lovers, just like us. Not some big corporate management company, but real people who love dogs and appreciate what a neighborhood business brings to the community. We truly couldn't be luckier.

And then there's LORI! Our fearless North Park store manager, who runs the place like the TOP DOG that she is -

I'll never forget meeting Lori for the first time — within minutes, I knew she was going to be something special. Not only was she a crazy dog lover (obviously a job requirement), she is wicked smart, along with being a health nut—the perfect combo. After a long and successful career in finance, Lori decided Dexter's Deli would be her retirement job. HA! Little did she know that managing a neighborhood pet store full of dogs, cats, passionate pet parents, and the occasional parking lot drama might be anything but retirement!

But that's Lori. She brings heart, smarts, humor, and a whole lot of love to our North Park store. We are so lucky to have her leading the pack.

And to our wonderful North Park neighbors — THANK YOU!

Thank you for shopping LOCAL, for trusting us with your beloved dogs and cats, for sharing your stories, asking us a million questions and for making Dexter's Deli part of your everyday lives.

North Park is a neighborhood with personality, heart, and a wonderfully quirky spirit. We love you, North Park! Here's to the next 10 years!

With love and gratitude,
Tori, Tara & our North Park Team taken in Dexter's Deli by @dexters.deli

Be Your Dog’s Hero!

Take 10 minutes on the 14th of each month to feel and look for lumps, bumps, and swellings.

Check your dog from head to toe, including the inside of the mouth.

Follow up with an exam by your vet if you find anything suspicious or worrisome.

Keep a record of any growths so you can keep track of anything new.

Watch for any unusual behavior or change in attitude or appetite.

Visit chaseawayk9cancer.org for more information and support as you are able.
