Mad late to work. Got up early and started mixing oils. Had to have the first listen-through with a paint brush in my hand. Really REALLY happy I did it.

#sciartseptember "Copper". a Hellenic warrior from the bronze age.
I was trying to decide what to pick, then came across the BRONZE AGE. I really try to be super positive with these prompts because I really do love this annual challenge, and i think the field of science needs as much positive support as it can get. But the state of the world got to me on this one.
After all, nothing pushes forward human progress and scientific evolution like bending new technology to inflict warfare and destruction. (Sarcasm) 🤢🤢🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

There are some many amazing things that research, observation and testing can provide. It can be really discouraging when some humans exploit those things for conquest. But we must persist in supporting those who want positive change, through science.

Kudos to @lizlagomorph the "medium" category has really made me look at science in a different way this year. by @dezkarcy

#sciartseptember 8. "RUBY" - The most remarkable feature of the Anthony’s Poison Dart Frog is that its bones are green. An endangered species, this frog’s patterns and size vary by location. Mostly seen in Ecuador and Peru. Some frogs have bright red and whitish colored stripes, causing them to be called Candy Cane Frogs. Their toxin is now being produced synthetically in pharmaceutical laboratories, where it is being evaluated as a non-addictive substitute for morphine.
