⚠️ A gun was found on a student entering an elementary school in Cleveland this week.
According to local authorities, a staff member discovered the firearm as the student arrived at school and it was confiscated before anyone was hurt. Schools are now taking steps to prevent this from happening again.

This isn’t a political post — it’s a safety reality check.

💡 Firearms don’t move on their own.
They don’t disappear into backpacks by accident. A gun in the hands of a child is usually the result of improper storage or unsecured access.

As responsible firearm owners, how we store our guns matters as much as how we train with them.
Your safe‑storage practice is the last line of defense between curiosity and catastrophe.

Here are a few reminders every gun owner MUST follow:

🔒 Always keep firearms locked and unloaded when not in use.
🔑 Use a quality safe, lockbox, or cable lock — out of sight and reach.
📄 Store ammunition separately.
👨‍👩‍👧 Discuss firearm safety with your family — before kids encounter a real one.
🧠 Be the one who prevents a tragedy.

If you have questions about safe storage or how to teach responsible firearm habits at home, DM me. Safety is a skill — just like marksmanship.

If you carry it, you should know how to break it down to clean it. 🧼🔫
Breaking down a Glock isn’t just about maintenance — it’s about responsibility, safety, and keeping your tools ready when it matters most.

🧠 Own it. Understand it. Take care of it.

Every class has a story. Last week, it was strength and growth. 💪

One student — a young man stepping up to take responsibility.
The other — a cancer survivor proving nothing can stop her from staying ready.

They came in unsure. They left certified, confident, and prepared.

🎯 This is what training with purpose looks like.

📅 August registration is now open — limited spots, first come, first trained.

He came in flinching on every shot. Now he’s grouping like a pro. Practice makes permanence.

It’s not magic.
It’s reps.
It’s guidance.
It’s mindset.

This is what happens when you train with purpose — not just pop off rounds.

This is why classes are important. One of the most foundational rules of owning a firearm is keeping it unloaded until you’re ready to use it! This simple lesson prevents loss of life. by @dfafirearms
