Moving to London was scary at first, but the friendships Daisy made here at CB*MA helped make the transition so much smoother. 🥰

Daisy already had a strong interest in SFX before joining us, so it was amazing to see her thrive during our SFX module and develop her skills even further! 🎬✨

BTS footage of our Bootcamp prep module last week with our students setting & styling their wigs for 8 Bootcamp week looks they will design this week.

A big thank you to our lovely tutor @beauty_brush_and_blood for guiding the students through styling the wigs, making bondos, teaching continuity, script breakdown & set etiquette and reading call sheets - helping them bring everything together with precision and purpose.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone's final looks this week and all the creativity that comes with it.

Our students got hands-on with essential textured hair styling techniques under the guidance of our fantastic tutor, @estyliz_1111

Throughout the week they explored finger coiling, rake and shake, braiding, sleek styling and many other industry techniques, building the practical skills and confidence needed to work professionally with all hair types and textures.

At CB*MA, we’re committed to preparing our students for careers across film, television, fashion and theatre, where inclusive hair and makeup skills are essential.

Throwing it back to Barbering Week at Christine Blundell Makeup Academy! 💈✂️

Our students spent the week learning key barbering skills with our lovely tutor, professional barber, our graduate and hair and makeup artist @andy_barber_hmua, building confidence and getting stuck into hands-on work.

Barbering is an important skill to have as a hair and makeup artist, junior or trainee, as it is key for maintaining continuity on set.

Behind-the-Scenes of Facial Hair 🥸 Skills Module at Christine Blundell Makeup Academy

Last week our students mastered various techniques of facial hair application and styling, from hand mixing various yak hair colours and hand-laying yak hair beards & moustaches, blocking , tonging and applying lace-based facial hair pieces, to creating stubble, all taught by our lovely tutor, Nuria Mbomio, who has an amazing HMUA career, including being a personal MUA to #arianagrande on #wicked and #wickedforgood!
