The time has come that some of you knew was upon us. Share this w/ your fellow gear addicts. The moment to relinquish one of these beauties to a new owner is here. I picked up both of these lovelies this past year, & practically within weeks of each other. One had an issue from the previous owner and was not working, so he sold it to me cheap. I had it serviced and it’s now up and running and blowing ears apart. For those who know about this rare beastly model, well no need to explain. For those who don’t, I’ll be brief. @peaveyelectronics put this model out in both “B” (bass) & “G” (guitar) versions that slightly vary in tone and effects. Its full model name is “Peavey Super Festival 800B”. The title is absurdly as long as this bitch is loud. They made them for a few years and they vary slightly from year to year, but sound incredible always. A handful of artists have used them, but it’s likely that Jesse from @dfa1979 made the B model quite a prized commodity in the 00s among others with its signature tone, & especially Jesse’s. 🧡🧡 I searched for one for years after being inspired (understatement) by him, then suddenly 2 appeared in my path as if from the ether. GEMINI!😍 lol. I really only need to keep one (and will till death…maybe), so I’ll gladly help another lucky soul get just as lucky. Asking $1500 obo. Hope that’s fair. Hello. We hope things are well for you all. It’s more of a struggle for some than others considering the state of existence currently. Nevertheless, we continue forward optimistically and hope you do. Haven’t been as active sharing here the past couple of years. Personally, it’s not felt as though that’s where our attention should best be directed. However, we consider art to be an act of resistance and therefore necessary to share, so we’re leaning into that more. It’s encouraging to see artists open about their stances politically & on a humanitarian level & allow that to be heard. Although, more should speak up imo, which strengthens the whole collectively. We’ve also individually had life throw things at us that consumed a lot of our energy. Nevertheless we’re stronger, driven from it, & still here. We genuinely appreciate folks asking & giving even the slightest bit of interest. Having said that, we’ve been writing what will be our (1st) album. It’s a departure from our previous sounds, but still holds elements of intensity and overall feelings. Additionally, it’ll be a collaborative effort and we’re seeking out others (mainly vocalists, but also musicians) to appear on single or multiple pieces, as seem fitting. Simultaneously, we’re adding members. Whether that’s simply for a collab for this collection, full time, part time, whatever works, we want to expand. If interested reach out. Aside from that, we encourage all to resist, take action, build community, look after each other, give a fuck, take da, donate, join a cause, unite & build upon this all. We’re stronger collectively & all it takes is finding common ground, which has always been there. Look harder. I’m quite sure there are and will be an overwhelming amount of similar posts as this one. Nevertheless, I feel inclined to share, so here’s another. This guy had quite an impact on many people and with good reason. It’s likely that if you know us, someone we know or are even remotely acquaintances with someone who knows one of those people, you were directly or indirectly influenced heavily by him, intentionally or not. I would say that is true for myself. It’s somewhat hard to escape that degree of inclusion when someone has their hands in so many aspects of a medium that it permeates that deeply. Even if you aren’t or weren’t a fan of many of the artists that he worked with directly, the chances are that you know of or have listened to at least one piece of the body of work this man produced or had a hand in creating. We’re all related. 🤷🏻‍♂️
I can say honestly that I’m not one of the massive deep divers of his catalogue, but the ones I know about or have come to learn he was involved with after the fact I have been massively affected and influenced by repeatedly. I would recommend giving a listen to at least one album that he produced. My tone has been largely swayed by hearing many of his works. You may not be immediately affected, but I’ll bet that it grows on you. That’s the way it happens with many great works. They seem to creep in later and develop a deeper appreciation. They often sound too odd to like right away, but then you develop a taste for that exact reason - THEY AREN’T LIKE ALL THE OTHER SHIT THAT SOUNDS LIKE ALL THE OTHER SHIT. (Cont. ⬇️)
