First of all, thanks to all of you who have donated. I really appreciate it. Wilson has a new specialist appointment coming soon. It’s fine if you can’t donate but please take a moment to share this. Let’s help him to get the treatment he needs.

Okay kids. Gather round for story time. Way back in ye old 1900s, I recorded this song down in Birmingham, AL with my producer. It was 1981 and the song was sort of an answer to Sailing by Christopher Cross. We shopped it around to some record labels and lo and behold, Clive Davis, President of Arista Records contacted us and brought me to New York where he signed this star-struck 21 year old to a record deal. This is the result. This of course was long before streaming services and the only way you got a record heard at that time was on the radio.
This is the only way I have found to let you guys hear this song since I don’t have the rights to upload it to a streaming service. Now, this would be referred to as Yacht Rock and I’m fine with that. I hope you will forgive the fact that I sound like a child singing this song, but I thought you might get a kick out of it. Hang in there for the extremely early 80s sounding saxophone solo. Enjoy! 😁 by @dguthrie1

Been a rough couple of months but lots of sweet memories and even sweeter friends helps to remind me of how lucky I was to have Johnny as my brother. taken in Hollywood, Florida by @dguthrie1
