Rain, hail & shine.

Moto weekender at @openroadsrally was 👌🏼 despite the erratic weather conditions. In stark contrast to the last event, the KZ (A.K.A “The Backroad Bandit”) did not miss a beat. Almost 200km of tracks over the weekend with zero breakdowns or issues ~ an absolute little weapon. I’m lucky to have the best mechanic in the biz 🖤🖤🖤 taken in Myrtleford, Victoria by @dharmalovelace

@openroadsrally Licola 2026 ~ WHAT A TIME 🔥

40kms into Saturday’s ride it became very clear that my objective of the rally was to avoid having to get recovered - and somehow we succeeded in that mission - thanks to @jamesdsayer & @nose_drip for being the best riding crew 💪🏼 The KZ200 STRUGGLED to get up the steep slippery mud and through the river crossings without a couple of drownings. After a few sections where the bike just would not start or take off, we came to another river crossing that I got through but died on the other side - clutch smoking & smelling real bad, bike cutting out every few minutes. “How many kms left of the track?” I asked James. He replied “80kms…it’s 5pm and you probably need to get recovered.”🥲

Another river crossing had my bike unable to start again. A couple of farmers were set up camping on the other side with their sons. They came over to the rescue in their Drizabones & bushman hats, & without me even having time to get off the bike like having my own personal pit crew they’re pulling my panels off, spark plug out, checking the air filter, checking compression.. “I wish we had some Start Ya Bastard”… I pulled the can out of my pannier… I was prepared thanks to @lofideluxe 💕

I was determined to not have this bike come back on the back of the recovery vehicle so we powered on and SOMEHOW WE MADE IT the last 80kms back with a bike (barely) running like absolute shit, freezing cold, many more hours on the track than we were prepared for or expecting. The joy I felt when I rolled back into Licola on the KZ was immensssseeee 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

✨ Last night @mikesscheidt spoke about @quantumyob being a long way from home out here in Aus, yet still feeling at home amongst all of us at @maxwattsvenue ~ a sentiment we feel so strongly whenever we come together with our heavy music community/family 💕

What an honour it was to perform alongside a band that is so special to all of us, with our brothers @mountainwizarddeathcult , and to be able to experience that with all of you. How lucky we are. Old friends, new friends ~ thank you 🙏🏼

Big shout out to Campbell for absolutely crushing his first show with us on bass! 💪🏼

Huge thank you to Greg from @unitedfrontau for having us on, and for bringing out all the bands we love! by @dharmalovelace
