The end to one of the best era's ⚽🇺🇸

10 years ago I started playing football for QPR girls U14's. I never thought I'd end up playing soccer here in New York at NCAA Division 2 level. It went from me playing footie in the park with the boys to working my way up the ranks through QPR, to landing a soccer and academic scholarship in Ohio at Urbana University where I instantly met the most amazing team of girls and some of whom will be my friends for life.

Then COVID stopped the world, which sent me back home in London for about 18 months (for me it was a blessing in disguise). After meeting the best group of people (again more friends for the long run) working with them at the pub for close to a year, I earned another scholarship and flew back to continue my soccer career here in NY; where I was lucky enough to meet another fantastic group of girls, who I can't believe I'm not going to see everyday, as I'm graduating, after I fly back home next week. I don't have to speak too much on who's special to me here in NY as they already know how I feel about them ❤️

Being an international student is harder than you may think - missing everyone back home & missing out on important events that my family/friends have - the homesickness at times can hurt but I wouldn't trade this experience for anything else. I now have families in both continents for which I feel blessed.

I've been fortunate enough to make incredible friends turned family in 🇺🇸 and I am so happy to say it has been a great run in terms of football. From being a Blue Knight to a Spartan: there's been highs, lows, injuries and tears but it's all been worth this journey and I will never forget this experience. Only I would get a concussion during my senior game (slide to the third video) during the course of my birthday weekend 😭😅 Football will always be a part of my life and I'll always continue to play, but after 6 years playing in London and 4 years here in America, I'm ready to hang up my cleats/boots for now #14

Thank you to everyone back home in London town who has supported me to make it this far and those here in the states who have kept me going. For that I'll be forever grateful 💗 taken in New York by @dharmzzz_
