So… when should you actually get a facelift? 👀

There isn’t a magic age. The better question is when your anatomy starts asking for more than fillers or devices can realistically provide.

For some patients, that may be their 40s. For others, much later. The goal is to match the procedure to the degree of laxity and the result you want.

Your face sets the timeline, not your birthday.

The ramus is the vertical backbone of your jaw.

It connects the lower jaw to the gonial angle, then continues forward toward the chin. Its length, projection, and angulation play a major role in how defined and balanced the lower face looks.

Changing that geometry can dramatically change the jawline and overall facial proportions.

How long until you see the final jawline? 🦴

Custom jaw implants take time to fully settle. Most patients are around 70–80% healed by 3–6 weeks, with swelling continuing to refine over the following months.

The final contour can take up to a year as the soft tissue gradually settles around the implant.

Patience = part of the process.
