요즘 인태기. 이런거라도 올려야 하나. Went MIA from IG for a bit. Thought I might need to post something. by @dhkim.dds

$cc: "I am in a crazy pain." The patient presented to the clinic for pain in the lower left. No flap was raised because the tooth was visible intraorally. The tooth was sectioned. I attempted to remove the distal portion first, but it fractured. I ended up making a flap to make a buccal trough for the mesial root. Mesial half came out without any fracture. This made it easier for me to access the distal portion. Very difficult extraction made more difficult with high anxiety from the patient and her small mouth with thick buccinator muscles. #wisdomtooth #wisdomteeth #wisdomtoothextraction #wisdomteethextraction #extractionsatisfaction #surgicalextraction #SurgicalDentistry #dentistry #dentist #사랑니 #사랑니발치 #외과적발치 #볼따구도톰해서뒤지는줄알았네 by @dhkim.dds$

cc: "My son's pediatric dentist referred me to an endodontist for a root canal."

The patient, 15 y/o male, presented to the clinic with his mother with a referral to an endodontist for RCT. I told them that I am a general dentist, not an endodontist. They wanted me to do the treatment anyway. So, I did.

$cc: "I want a check up." The patient presented to clinic for routine exam. When he was asked, he reported occasional discomfort LL. Recommended RCT + Crown #18 but was recommended extraction #17 first. No flap was raised because the tooth was visible intraorally. The tooth was sectioned. The coronal portion of the distal half was intentionally fractured off to allow the mesial half to elevate. Used the handpiece to make a purchase point on the mesial because there was no room for the elevator to fit in. The distal root was retrieved after removing the mesial half. #wisdomtooth #wisdomteeth #wisdomtoothextraction #wisdomteethextraction #extractionsatisfaction #surgicalextraction #SurgicalDentistry #dentistry #dentist #사랑니 #사랑니발치 #외과적발치 by @dhkim.dds$

cc: "What are my options for my missing tooth?"

The patient presented to the clinic concerned for her missing anterior tooth. Options were presented to the patient, and she was interested in implants. Due to finances, the patient requested to have something for temporary measures. Flipper was made - very happy patient.

cc: "My crown came off"

This patient presented to the clinic with lost crown #10 (#22). She is scheduled for a re-treat with an endodontist before getting a crown. She has an important meeting coming up and requested a provisional crown. No CAD/CAM is at my disposal in this office and no stainless steel crown or other means to use as a template either 😫. So, a provisional crown was made with Luxatemp by free hand. . There was only one shade of the Luxatemp so the shade is off. That extra 5-minute chairside time can make a huge difference for the patient.

$cc: "My tooth hurts but I can't tell if it's my lower or upper." The patient presented with gross cavities on both #16 (#28) and #17 (#38). #16 was removed nonsurgically. The distobuccal root was already fractured before the procedure but was easily retrieved with a periosteal elevator (thanks to the septal bone being paper thin. Had a super difficult time finding the purchase point on #17. Flap was made and #17 was sectioned after making a very limited buccal trough. Pretty straightforward extractions 👍🏻 #wisdomtooth #wisdomteeth #wisdomtoothextraction #wisdomteethextraction #extractionsatisfaction #surgicalextraction #SurgicalDentistry #dentistry #dentist #사랑니 #사랑니발치 #외과적발치 by @dhkim.dds$
