Doodle for Google 2025 Surreal moment to shoot @giannis_an34 announcing this year’s student art contest for Google. Incredibly grateful to my crew that pulled off this blazingly fast shoot. We had Giannis on set for less than an hour. We moved him seamlessly through our setups around the Bucks practice facility, handing off between multiple cameras and pre-lit sets without a hiccup. A big thank you to @sdelahoyde for bringing me out and steering the ship with grace. 2024 in 5 cheesy but heartfelt F’s “Family, Friends, Fun, Fulfillment, Film” Highlights include: - an unreal hiking trip to the mountains of Pakistan with the @ariella.j.khan family - a subsequent visit to my family in India - shooting my first narrative feature film as a DP! mega thank you @elliotnick for opening that door and all praise to the cast and crew for their Herculean effort - spontaneous international tropical travel (Mexico, St. Kitts, Thailand) - an absurd and hilarious month working on location in Dixon, IL - connecting and reconnecting with new and old friends from near and far! Grateful for the friends, family, and collaborators who made the year so full. Special grateful to @ariella.j.khan for being my eternal anchor. Converting the Webseries (2023) Endless things to say about the journey that was producing and shooting this project over the past 17 months. I’m so proud (and relieved) that this show is complete and in the world. I’m equally excited to have come away with so many lessons and opportunities to grow as a collaborator, filmmaker, partner and person. The story of Converting is so very personal and honest. Our genius creator (and the love of my life) @ariella.j.khan did the brave, foolhardy, and vulnerable thing to lay the most intimate, uncomfortable, and hilarious paradoxes of her life and heart (and mine by proxy) on the line for all to witness, judge, and relate to. I’m so proud and in awe of her. She did the thing through and through with an unwavering intensity, care, and standard for excellence. We decided to release this show straight to YouTube, not Vimeo, no festival circuit, hoping to make this story as easy as possible for audiences to watch to right away. We made 5 bite-sized episodes and I actually think they’re really really good. The link to the show is in my bio. Give it a go when you get the chance.
