$REVERSE SHOULDER REPLACEMENT — WHEN IS IT NEEDED? A reverse shoulder replacement is a specialised surgery in which the normal ball-and-socket arrangement of the shoulder is reversed. 🔹 When is it commonly done? • Severe shoulder arthritis with a non-functioning rotator cuff • Cuff tear arthropathy • Complex fractures of the shoulder in elderly patients, especially when the fracture cannot be reliably reconstructed • Failed previous shoulder replacement or other major shoulder problems in selected patients 🔹 Why “reverse” the shoulder? In a normal shoulder, the rotator cuff muscles help move the arm. When the rotator cuff is severely damaged and cannot be repaired, a reverse shoulder replacement changes the mechanics of the joint so that the deltoid muscle can help raise the arm. 🔹 Is it suitable for everyone? No. The decision depends on: ✅ Age and activity level ✅ Rotator cuff condition ✅ Type and severity of arthritis/fracture ✅ Bone quality ✅ Nerve and muscle function ✅ Overall health The right implant and the right indication are critical for a successful outcome. 📍 DHS Multispecialty Hospital, Ahmedabad 👨‍⚕️ Dr. Hardik Shah and Dr. Swagat Shah For appointments call - 📞 +919081610444 by @dhs.hospitals$

💉 Shoulder Pain? The Right Injection, in the Right Place.

Shoulder pain restricting your movement or affecting your daily activities? Not every shoulder problem needs surgery.

For selected shoulder conditions, ultrasound/sonography-guided injection treatment can help deliver medication precisely to the intended area. Real-time imaging allows the target to be visualised during the procedure, helping with accurate needle placement.

It may be considered for conditions such as:
🔹 Frozen shoulder
🔹 Rotator cuff–related shoulder pain
🔹 Shoulder impingement
🔹 Shoulder bursitis
🔹 Tendinitis & tendinopathy
🔹 Certain shoulder joint conditions

The key is to first identify the actual cause of your shoulder pain and then choose the appropriate treatment.

🎯 Accurate placement
💙 Targeted pain relief
⚡ Minimal intervention
🏃 Earlier return to activity in appropriate patients
