Vom 06.10.-28.11. kannst du kostenfrei bei uns im Museum Blinden Tischtennis (Showdown) spielen!

Ausrüstung und Spielregeln gibt es direkt vor Ort.

From October 6th until November 28th, you can play blind table tennis (Showdown) right at the museum!

Equipment and Game rules are available at the museum.
Take an eye mask, a paddle, and a rattle ball and show us what you can do!

Czechia in the Dark – A Sensory Journey into the Bohemian Forest

From 1 September to 31 October 2026 discover Czechia with all your senses: In honour of the guest country Czechia the first room of our exhibition "Dialog in the dark" will transform into the Bohemian Forest. Blind and vision impaired guides will lead you through the sounds, smells and tactile Objects related to the Czech region in ourlightless exhibition space.

Bewegend, persönlich, echt: Wir blicken auf die Ausstellung „Auf dem Weg: Das Deutsche Down-Sportlerfestival“ des vielfach ausgezeichneten Fotografen Ferhat Bouda (@ferhat_bouda) zurück, die vom 9. September bis zum 3. Oktober 2026 im DIALOGMUSEUM Frankfurt (@dialogmuseum) stattfand. 📸 Die Ausstellung gab spannende Einblicke in die Geschichten von drei Sportler*innen des Deutschen Down-Sportlerfestivals: Lara Bleser (@laras_bunte_welt), Svea Glaß und Edgar Vdovenko (@freestyleredgar). 😊

Über mehrere Monate hinweg begleitete Ferhat Bouda die jungen Athlet*innen zu Hause bei ihren Familien und beim Training im Verein, bei den offiziellen Trainingscamps zur Vorbereitung auf das Festival und schließlich auf dem Festival selbst. Die dabei entstandenen, beeindruckenden Fotostrecken zeigen: Die Community des Deutschen Down-Sportlerfestivals besteht aus ambitionierten, optimistischen und lebensfrohen Persönlichkeiten mit ganz individuellen Zielen und Träumen. 💪💭 Die Fotografien machen außerdem deutlich, welche Talente und Fähigkeiten Menschen mit Down-Syndrom mitbringen und mit wie viel Energie und Leidenschaft sie ihren eigenen Weg beschreiten. ✨

Für „Tobi’s Städtetrip“ war @tobi_kaemmerer in unserer lichtlosen Ausstellung mit Sezen Stearn unterwegs und spielt eine Runde Showdown gegen Nooran Ahmad (Hessenmeisterin 2025 vom SV Blau-Gelb Frankfurt).

Die ganze Folge läuft heute Abend live um 20:15Uhr im @hessischerrundfunk und ist danach in der ARD-Mediathek verfügbar.

Wer auch Lust hat, wie Tobi, eine Erfahrung mit allen Sinnen zu machen oder sich im Showdown zu beweisen, kann das ab heute bei uns im Museum!

For “Tobi’s City Trip,” @tobi_kaemmerer visited our dark exhibition with Sezen Stearn and played a round of Showdown against Nooran Ahmad (Hessen champion 2025 from SV Blau-Gelb Frankfurt).

The full episode airs live tonight at 8:15 pm on @hessischerrundfunk and will be available afterwards in the ARD media library.

On October 8, 2026, at 6:00 PM (doors open at 5:30 PM), the focus will be on literature that crosses borders: Petty Waagö will read Jaroslav Rudiš’s “Gebrauchsanweisung fürs Zugreisen” (User Manual for Train Travel) @piperverlag in Braille. The Czech author @jaroslavrudis will be present and will converse with @herr_dallmann from @mdr_mitteldeutscherrundfunk about his love of trains, other paths in life, and the power of sensory storytelling.
