I’ve helped so many families say goodbye to a home, but I never really thought about what it would feel like when it was our turn. 🤍

It’s definitely bittersweet. This house has been home to so many different seasons of our life and holds so many special memories for us. We’ve put so much love into making it ours, and it’s really special knowing it’s ready for someone new to come in and do the same.

I can’t wait to see who gets to call it home next. 🏡

There’s no timeline you have to meet when it comes to buying a home. Ian and his wife came to me unsure of when they’d be ready, and getting to walk alongside them as they figured that out was such a gift.

My goal is always for my clients to feel supported, informed, and never pressured. Hearing that they felt that way, and that they’re thrilled with where they landed, means the world to me.

Raleigh, your weekend plans are here.

The Flowers Cottage at Dix Park is officially back, and it’s better than ever. Built around 1910, it’s one of the oldest buildings on the entire Dix campus, and it just reopened as Cottage Coffee & Park Bar. Coffee in the morning, a drink at golden hour, and one of the best views in the city in between.

A few things I love about it:
☕ It’s run by the team behind Person Street Bar and Natural Science, so you already know the vibe is right 🌿 The deck was expanded with tiered seating that looks straight out over the park ✨ New stonework, native plantings, and evening lighting that make it easy to stay a while 🛝 There’s a small playground, so bring the whole crew 💛 A portion of every sale goes back into Dix Park’s future

As a Raleigh native, watching this park come to life one building at a time has been one of my favorite things about calling this city home. This is exactly the kind of place that makes people fall in love with living here.

Head to the western side of the park, grab a seat on the porch, and tell me how it is. Save this for Saturday morning.

Moving to Raleigh doesn’t mean choosing one thing and giving up another.

A lot of people assume a move comes with a tradeoff. More space might mean giving up things to do. A slower pace might mean fewer opportunities. Being closer to nature might mean being farther from everything else.

But one of the best parts about living here is realizing you can have more of both than you expected.

Ending summer the only way we know how… with ice cream, alpacas, mimosas & some of our favorite people. 🦙🍦🥂☀️

Today’s End of Summer Client Celebration at Holl & Stone was SO much fun that apparently we forgot one very important thing… taking pictures with everyone who came. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ But honestly, I think that means we were doing it right!

This event was all about celebrating our past, present AND future clients — the people who continue to support us, refer us, cheer us on and allow us ladies to keep raising the bar in our businesses. 🤍

Because of YOU, we get to do what we love AND create fun events like this where our clients can bring their friends, families and kiddos together. And seeing everyone hanging out, laughing and enjoying the day is hands down one of our favorite parts.

And can we talk about @hollandstone The cutest shop + ice cream + mimosas + ALPACAS?! Honestly, what more could you ask for?! 🦙✨

I don’t know about you, but this time of year always feels like a little reset. Summer is winding down, schedules are settling back into a rhythm, and even though it may not quite feel like fall outside yet, I’m officially ready for slower mornings, cooler weather, and all the cozy things that come with a new season.

Which makes this the perfect time for the next edition of Meredith’s Hometown Favorites. Last time we talked ice cream. This time? ☕️ Coffee.

Whether you’re looking for a really good latte, somewhere to meet a friend, or a change of scenery for a workday, here are five local coffee shops I think are worth adding to your list this fall. ➡️

Jubala is one of those places that consistently does coffee really well. They’re known for their expert espresso program, but the food deserves just as much attention, especially the scratch-made biscuits and Liege waffles. Each café has a beautiful, modern feel while still being warm and welcoming, making it an easy choice whether you’re grabbing something to go or staying.

The Optimist checks all the boxes: great coffee, a beautiful space and really good food. Their signature lattes are always worth trying, and the breakfast and brunch menu makes this a great spot for more than just a quick coffee run. It’s also one of those cafés where you can meet a friend or settle in with your laptop and happily stay awhile.

Sonder is worth the drive to Wendell Falls. They roast their own coffee and are known for creative seasonal drinks, including their fun seasonal latte flights. The café itself is bright, welcoming and community-focused, making it the kind of local spot that gives you a reason to keep coming back to see what’s new.

Fount Coffee is another local gem worth adding to your rotation, especially if you’re on the Morrisville side of the Triangle. It has the kind of welcoming neighborhood coffee-shop feel that makes it easy to skip the usual chain and choose local instead. Whether you’re meeting someone for coffee or just need a new spot for your morning cup, this is one to keep on your list.
