I ran the Big Sur Marathon with disposable cameras in my backpack, & it looked a little something like this!
I partied and PR’d, clicked and climbed, and high-fived a lot of strangers. I didn’t know a single person there, and it was really cool. Would do it again tomorrow.

sidenote; I wasn’t expecting this, but the camelbak carrying all the cameras rubbed my shoulders raw over 26.2 miles and left what are apparently permanent (???) scars. I guess that’s my lifelong souvenir from Big Sur 😂 I’ll never forget this day! ❤️

go-to outfit lately: moms old tee shirt & @backcountry shorts 🤝 #backcountrypartner

Been riding around in a bunch of pieces from the Backcountry MTB line lately, and I’m genuinely stoked on how everything’s been feeling out on the trails. To much more!

Been romping around out in the forest getting ready for the Big Sur International marathon next weekend!!

Much love to @fleetfeetmonterey for supporting the event and hooking me up with gear for the adventure. the fun definitely doesn’t stop there—I’m so excited to be teaming up with the media crew to help document the race with a pack full of disposable cameras along the way.

Running, storytelling, and a weekend on the coast… honestly my kind of perfect combo. Getting to chase miles, capture the in-between moments on film, and be part of the energy behind such an iconic race feels really special. Grateful to blend the athlete and creator sides of what I love in a place like this!

Start your engines, @surfcitycx is right around the corner!

When I look back at each year of my life, certain memories stand out to me- and Surf City is HANDS DOWN one of those!!

If you like bikes, camping, old and new friends, food, being in the trees, costume contests, tiny bike racing, and just having a silly and fun time- save yourself and look no further.

Join us all on October 25-26th at Crest Ranch, in the mountains above Santa Cruz.

Racing is on both Saturday and Sunday, but the fun will be had all weekend. Any and all levels are beyond welcome. This is the weekend before Halloween, so the costume contest is quite serious and incredible 😂

Registration link in @surfcitycx bio

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!

Scene report from where it’s going down in just five days— and it’s lookin’ good!

@lostandfoundbikeride seems to perfectly blend pavement, dirt, gravel, and the adventure of the Lost Sierra. Being one of my favorite areas of California- this race has been on my radar for years, so I am stoked to finally fit it in.

I went out & pre-rode parts of the course last weekend, and was talking to myself about how excited I am with every turn 😂

It’s looking to be a very scenic 96 miles/7,700 feet, filled with wildflowers, views, and of course- some dust, rocks, and ruts along the way. @sierratrails has been out there working hard, clearing downed trees and debris. I’ll be riding my @cervelo Aspero-5 with @maxxisbike Rambler tires. Pro women get their own start this year, so that's super sweet!

It’s going to be a great time!! Its not too late to sign up, and don’t forget about the shakeout ride on Friday at 10. Also, don’t leave Portola without eating at Portola Frosty. Its a Michelin star restaurant in my book. Woooo!! taken in Portola, California by @dianadrew

My first XC race in the @seaotterclassic fuego xl was both more painful, yet more fun than I expected!

finished 9th in elite women, and am curious and excited to learn more. In admiration of the talent, skill, and effort put in by everyone, both racing and behind the scenes, and mega congrats to the other strong women racing!

Probably one of the most mentally tough races I’ve had- but balanced out with lots of smiles, laughs, flowers, and friendly familiar faces! ❤️ I adored the whole thing. It’s become apparent that one of my favorite ways to learn is to throw yourself into things and find out as you go!

To more!

Day 1 of 4: first bikepacking experience this past February!!

Carrying the only things you need on your bike, with the days end unknown, is such a fun feeling and I would recommend it to anyone. The logistics were actually a lot more simple than I had previously imagined.
The original plan was Oceanside to San Francisco, but what’s an adventure without a little pivot?

A couple of days before the ride, my dad explained how he rode from Santa Barbara to San Francisco when he was 33, so naturally that just became the new plan. He did it in jean shorts, no helmet, and a Nishiki he had gotten from his friend’s yard sale, so he automatically wins, but anyway…

Over the course of the next four days, @tannerstephens and I rode from the Amtrak station in Santa Barbara, up to Big Sur for an insane gravel loop, and back down to slo.

So here is the beautiful first 56 miles and 5,741 feet (of 301 miles and 22,968 feet but who’s counting @garminfitness)

Also, my new favorite place to end a ride is definitely at a casino.
