Our feature-length screenplay, Code Demon, is officially a semifinalist in the Table Read My Screenplay Hollywood competition. This is the near-future science fiction thriller we made a proof of concept for, a short film now playing multiple festivals. We are connecting with investors and co-production partners in our development and prep to make this project.

Log line: When she discovers she’s been installed into the body of a woman who has been trafficked and did not consent, a digital companion fights to free her body surrogate before the man she was programmed to love destroys them both.

The Black List said the concept is “clever yet terrifying in how easily it could become a reality.”

Obsession meets Ex Machina.

Yes, I still act, and here’s proof!
Michael Solace was a joy to work on. Directed by long time friend @chris_esper and written by the undefinable @kristofersalvi , I finally got to share the screen with @justin_thibault whose work I had admired for ages, and I must say, I think we got on very nicely!

Capturing this film and this character in just a single clip is impossible. The team built a layered, winding, nightmare that is relatable and vibrant, beautifully shot by @bottomfeederphoto

And Monica. MONICA! What a character! Thank you Chris and Kris for the opportunity to play with such a delicious role.

We will always have a seat in the balcony… well, until they refurbish again.
Many years ago I stumbled in @bosunderground film festival and met a wonderful, intelligent, fun, creative, amazing group and we came to call ourselves The Balcony Crew. When our beloved Brattle Theatre announced that it was getting a glow up, @rachelcraves saw our opportunity to take our place in the fabric of Harvard Square history by sponsoring OUR seat in the balcony (specifically @dedecrimmins seat).
A screening of Possession was an excellent opportunity for a few of us to gather to celebrate our friendship, our new seat, and the theatre that we call home for 5 days every March.

We are so honored to have the lastest draft of our feature screenplay, Code Demon (the basis for our latest short film) selected as a Second Rounder at the Austin Film Festival Script Competition and advanced to the quarter-final round of the Table Read My Screenplay Hollywood competition.

This is the feature screenplay. We are in development for. The proof of concept short film we made for it, PROXY, has also been doing really well in festivals. We’re excited to continue developing and we are actively talking to investors and co-production partners. by @dianamporter

Taking a moment to celebrate the amazing recognition that Proxy has received. We are so deeply grateful to @flickers.riiff and @genreblast, we were thrilled just to be screening at these amazing (and very different) festivals, these awards make my heart sing.
You know, I hadn’t thought about how different these festivals are till just now. Both are amazing festivals but other than playing great films they have so little in common. It’s really remarkable. Flickers is spread across Providence with a robust international representation. GenreBlast while also drawing international films has a very intimate community and takes place all in one theater. The vibes are stellar for both, but I really don’t think I can explain how different they are.

I think it’s also worth noting that we have been rejected by almost as many festivals as have accepted us. I have had other Filmmakers comment that we get into every festival and that would be nice, but I do like to believe that we get into the right festivals for us. We have had such an amazing time so far and I can’t wait to see where we get into next. by @dianamporter

MONSE AT GENREBLAST🚀

I had such a pleasure getting to talk with mikelwisler and @dianamporter to talk about their film, PROXY.

I went into this interview curious about the film and left as a fan. ✨

Huge congratulations to them on their Best Screenplay win!! So well deserved🏆

I’ll be cheering them on as they continue this journey toward turning Proxy into a feature. I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.

And I’m officially adding Mikel’s time-traveler thriller, STOP, to my reading list.
