The Traveling Light é um projeto geopoético de Évora_27 — Capital Europeia da Cultura, liderado pela Associação Ponto d’Orvalho, em parceria com o escritor e geopoeta italiano Davide S. Sapienza. Uma expedição geopoética pelo Alentejo, para jovens entre os 15 e os 20 anos, onde paisagem, luz e perceção se tornam matéria de criação. Ao longo de vários meses, os participantes exploram o território com artistas e especialistas convidados, numa imersão no tempo próprio do montado. Visitas a projetos locais, laboratórios e workshops culminam no Festival Ponto d’Orvalho e numa conferência em Évora_27. Os laboratórios e workshops integram-se na Academia do Vagar, com sessões abertas ao público mediante inscrição. Mais informação em pontodorvalho.org — The Traveling Light is a geopoetic project by Évora_27 — European Capital of Culture, led by Associação Ponto d’Orvalho in collaboration with Italian writer and geopoet Davide S. Sapienza. A geopoetic expedition through the Alentejo, for young people aged 15 to 20, where landscape, light and perception become the raw material of creation. Over several months, participants explore the territory alongside invited artists and specialists, immersing themselves in the unhurried rhythms of the montado. Visits to local projects, artistic laboratories and workshops culminate at the Festival Ponto d’Orvalho and a conference in Évora_27. The laboratories and workshops are part of the Academia do Vagar, with open sessions to the public upon registration. FACEOFF X MARKIZE 🏰 🧙‍♂️Na noite de 5 de setembro abrimos os portões para o confronto mais aguardado da história da FACEOFF, um verdadeiro e honrado duelo de justas entre norte e sul: Convidámos os nossos irmãos da capital a montar até à Invicta para uma batalha sem tréguas: De um lado, a Face Off é representada pelo nosso cavaleiro fundador, Phaser, artista audiovisual, produtor e DJ residente no Porto, vem da digisfera para a pista de dança. O seu último álbum, Forever Online, é uma coleção de meditações sobre a vida digital desde o dubstep pop à eletrónica. Nos decks os seus sets passam por todos os géneros, desde que sejam ricos em hooks e energia. Do outro lado, MARKIZE, que envia os seus cavaleires Mandacaru e Minerva para o duelo. Um coletivo multidisciplinar que abre espaços de transgressão do binário, materializando o desejo de construir uma plataforma de apresentação e conexão dos nomes da cena eletrónica e artística, promovendo a simbiose entre espaços e comunidades. We have invited our brothers from the capital to ride to Invicta for a battle without truce. On one side, FACE OFF is represented by our founding knight Phaser, an audiovisual artist, producer, and DJ based in Porto, who comes from the digisphere to the dance floor. His latest album Forever Online is a collection of meditations on digital life, spanning from pop dubstep to electronic music. On the decks, his sets move across genres, as long as they are rich in hooks and energy. On the other side, MARKIZE sends its knights Mandacaru and Minerva into the duel. A multidisciplinary collective that opens spaces for the transgression of the binary, materializing the desire to build a platform for showcasing and connecting names from the electronic and artistic scene, promoting symbiosis between spaces and communities. 💿 OFFLINE 💿 No dia 7 de fevereiro invadimos o @ferro.bar para a terceira edição da nossa FACE OFF, onde os DJs se enfrentam face to face (F2F) nos decks. A informação não encontra resistência no seu percurso, desde o físico ao digital. Como na transparência dos ecrãs e na fluidez do código, a música mostra-nos camadas de som e dados, celebrando a era da hiperconectividade. Nesta terceira edição, os nossos founders Paiva @paiva__________ e Phaser @i_phaser quiseram abrir a festa à comunidade local, e trazer um roster em OPEN DECKS de talentos nacionais, a ser anunciado dia 6. FACE THE SPEED 🏎️💨 No dia 17 de janeiro dançamos a segunda edição da nossa FACE OFF, onde os DJs se enfrentam face to face (F2F) nos decks. A cultura de street racing ilegal é o tema que inspira esta segunda edição, sobre corridas realizadas em vias públicas sem autorização. Este ambiente é conhecido pela modificação de carros para melhorar a performance, como todos nós fazemos diariamente a nós próprios, com ajustes mecânicos e estéticos. Além da competição, o street racing abre espaço à socialização e construção de identidades, refletindo interesses comuns e dinâmicas comunitárias. Nesta segunda edição, os nossos founders Paiva @paiva__________ e Phaser @i_phaser abrem a noite, seguidos pela Reina @reina.del.mar_ em F2F com o Ugho @ug__ho . The culture of illegal street racing is the theme inspiring this second edition, focusing on races held on public roads without authorization. This environment is known for modifying cars to improve performance, much like we all modify ourselves daily, through mechanical and aesthetic adjustments. Beyond competition, street racing creates space for socialization and identity-building, reflecting shared interests and community dynamics. WE INVITE YOU 2 FACE OFF🏓 No dia 29 de novembro apresentamos a primeira edição de uma nova festa chamada FACE OFF, onde DJs se enfrentam face to face (F2F) nos decks. Esta festa é fundada pelos @i_phaser e @paiva__________, inspirada pela paixão que desenvolveram pelo formato. Nesta primeira edição, os nossos fundadores abrem a noite, seguidos por @paxi.soveral, que regressa da Dinamarca para enfrentar a local powerhouse @dj__princesa ~ On November 29th we will be hosting the first edition of a series of events called FACE OFF, where DJ’s go FACE TO FACE (F2F) on the decks, created and hosted by @i_phaser and @paiva__________ , after they fell in love with the format. For this first edition our founders will be opening the night, followed by @paxi.soveral , coming back from Denmark to face off local powerhouse @dj__princesa .
