Ekkk I’m so excited to share what we pulled together for this years homeschool curriculum for my kindergartener!

We start the day with kids Christian songs to “get our silly’s out” — as we call it. We have a playlist that I’ve cultivated over the years on my Spotify @ diandralani called “COOL KIDS LOVE JESUS” if you are looking for a kids playlist. We love cedarmont kids & @shailinne & @veggietalesofficial

For Bible, we start off with our story book Bible, and then jump into Truth and Grace, where we get to memorize scripture, (i say we because im truly kearnung alingaide my kids,)we read directly out of different books of the Bible, and I get to ask questions based off of the scripture that we read. I LOVE THIS!!

We go into history next, I love this approach of teaching through reading stories. I can just see my child’s eyes get bright and wide eyed as the story is told through the writer, who wrote it as if it was through lens of a childs eyes. It’s so cute and fun, it’s also faith based (BONUS POINTS!)

We went with Logic of English “Foundations A” for reading & writing this year, our first year using this and it has been the BEST way to teach my child sounds and reading so far. (We did the good & the beautiful for this subject last year and it just wasn’t easily understandable to my child)

Math we use The Good and the Beautiful, again—really easy to teach and learn with this particular curriculum.

Lastly we use the book “Me on the Map” and it’s so cute and fun—teaching about how your child fits into the world. Teaching them their address, their street, their state, their country ect. 🌎

It has been such a joy to teach this year, my favorite part is reading the Bible with my kids, and when I correct them in any situation throughout the day, any day of the week, we can tie in how our behavior is reflecting Jesus or how it is not reflecting Jesus and his commandments to us.
