Mundi not long now…

After Swan Hill we left for Wentworth for two nights.. Finally we could have a fire - our stay in Swan Hill had been very chilly one 🥶

Then onto Menindee Lakes for another two nights just the most perfect spot to do nothing…

Adelaide Update:

We said goodbye to Victor Harbour and headed to Murray Bridge, firstly stopping at Port Elliott to try their legendary pies (breakfast of champions)
We spent the afternoon on the “caption proud”cruising down the Murray River..
Spending the night at the Monarto Wild Resort - OMG what a stay it was.. just incredible
We were treated to a sunrise safari tour of the 5000 hectare wildlife park.. mum just love it
On our way back into Adelaide we stopped off at the gorgeous little town of Hahndorf.. by @diane.carter

New Orleans is so full of life, experiencing its Creole and Cajun cuisine, jazz music and Bourbon Street nightlife.

We also visited the Whitney Plantation in Louisiana dedicated to telling the heartfelt story of slavery. Followed by an airboat swamp tour spotting alligators. taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @diane.carter

Ottawa is Canada’s capital, and the architecture at Parliament Hill is absolutely stunning. We took a relaxing boat ride along the Rideau Canal which winds its way through the heart of the National Capital into Chaffeys Lock. taken in Ottawa Capital Of Canada by @diane.carter

We have had a fabulous time cruising on the Celebrity Edge exploring Alaska.

First stop Ketchikan visiting Herring Cove searching for black bears in their natural habitat. We also did the Salmon Walk to witness the annual migration of salmon from the ocean to the freshwater rivers where they were born to spawn, such a fascinating process.

Juneau was all about our helicopter tour to Herbert Glacier, it certainly didn’t disappoint with the spectacular ice fields, rock formations, and blue crevasses. We then stopped at Red Dog Saloon to sample the famous duck fart shots, was heaps of fun. Followed by the Gold Creek Salmon Bake for some freshly cooked salmon.

Skagway a historic Alaskan town known for its gold rush era charm, the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, and the White Pass Railroad, we also crossed the border into Canada to do the Yukon Suspension bridge. What a fantastic tour, the views and scenery were amazing.

Our cruise ship sailed the Endicott Arm a spectacular Alaskan fjord and part of the Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness, known for its majestic mountains, waterfalls, and the active Dawes Glacier. When we got to the end of the passage our ship captain did a 360 to ensure every passenger got an up close view of the glaciers. It was totally awesome. 🙌 taken in Alaska, USA by @diane.carter

Seattle was full of sight seeing. Strolling through Pike Markets, dinning at a beautiful French restaurant tucked away in the back of the markets. Taking a relaxed ferry ride and walking the waterfront trial at Bainbridge Island. We visited the Seattle Space Needle, but unfortunately the fog didn’t lift so we didn’t make it to the top. We experienced the monorail and light rail to get around the city stopping at Smith Tower to take in the views from the other end of the city. The Beneath the Streets underground tour was great way to learn about the historic underground passageways. taken in Seattle, Washington by @diane.carter

Big couple of days in San Francisco.. visiting Alcatraz! who said Australia has flies wow these were next level 🪰 then on to a relaxing cruise on the harbour, getting up close to the Golden Gate Bridge. We visited Ghirardelli Square (best ice cream and brownies ever!!) then we caught the cable car up Hyde Street (so glad we didn’t walk - it’s bloody steep) got off at Lombard Street - yes that’s the zig zag street we all know.. finally made our way back to the hotel with a couple of well earned drinks and out for an Italian dinner - life is good ❤️ by @diane.carter
