Multi-genre award-winning YA author🏳️‍🌈 | THE FINAL CHAPTER (coming soon) | SUPERFICIAL | DOES LOVE ALWAYS WIN? | she/her | Philly

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My sapphic YA mystery THE FINAL CHAPTER is PM official!!! Out spring 2027 with @evernightteen! Thank you @sofiaavesbooks and Evernight for the support. I can’t wait for the world to meet Emmie and her friends! Think Nancy Drew but make it sapphic and Emmie is pansexual just like me.

***

Emmie Harris is living the dream, working at a bookstore alongside her ride and die, Mads. All is well in paradise until one day there’s a murder at the bookstore and Emmie is the prime suspect. With the clock ticking, Emmie, Mads, and their best friend Logan, a true crime junkie, decide they better get to the bottom of the murder or else Emmie might end up in jail. The only problem is before the trio can solve the crime another body turns up at the annual Halloween party. Suddenly it isn’t being accused of the crimes that is plaguing Emmie, it’s becoming the killer’s next victim. by @dianebillaswrites

Time for a new intro! I'm Diane, a pan/demi Philly-based author. My debut, DOES LOVE ALWAYS WIN?, is a YA sapphic awakening book with opposites attract and falling for the new girl. My next book SUPERFICIAL is a YA superhero story set at a comic con in Philly with a pan/demi FMC; Marvel meets National Treasure. Both of those books are with @creativejamesmedia.

My sapphic YA mystery, THE FINAL CHAPTER, is set in an indie bookstore and will be published soon by @evernightteen Think Nancy Drew but make it sapphic. Stay tuned for more details!

I'm querying an adult sapphic rom-com, FULL STEAM AHEAD, set on a cruise gone wrong and writing an adult sapphic paranormal rom-com with my writing bestie @mariahstillbrook.

I am also a musician (piano/French horn), an avid reader of most genres, and love to travel. Next country I'm visiting is Ireland! by @dianebillaswrites

Happy bi+ visibility day from this bi+ author!! And it’s perfect timing, it’s almost the two year anniversary of my YA queer superhero book SUPERFICIAL where the MC is also bi+! And I have a bi+ book coming out spring 2027, a YA sapphic mystery called THE FINAL CHAPTER. And I’m reading the very bi cozy horror book THE HOUSEMATE by JJA Harwood. As they say in that book, give me a bi high-five!!! 💖💜💙 by @dianebillaswrites

Happy first day of fall from my circa 1998 possessed Furby. 😂

I have been helping my parents move and they gave me my old Furby and he has started to make a home with us. He still works but sometimes when he is supposed to be sleeping we find his eyes wide open staring at us. Who doesn’t love a possessed Furby? It has actually prompted @mariahstillbrook and I to add a Furby into our collab book!

I’m also so excited that by fall 2027 my YA Halloween themed mystery book THE FINAL CHAPTER will be out! Stay tuned for more fun stuff about that book. Happy fall!!!🎃🧙 by @dianebillaswrites

I’m thrilled to reveal the back cover blurb to my upcoming novel, THE RETURN OF THE CERULEAN BLUR!

@dianebillaswrites, author of the excellent young adult superhero novel SUPERFICIAL, was kind enough to contribute the above blurb. Thank you, Diane! This means a lot, and I’m honored to feature your kind words on the back of my next book.

And just a bit about SUPERFICIAL. Lea is a superhero fan who gets trapped in an elevator at a comic-con with Jake, a famous actor who plays the Amazing Boy in the movies. When they get off the elevator (after getting on each other’s nerves), they discover everyone else in the convention center is frozen by a real-life supervillain!

“A pulse-pounding journey filled with friendship, betrayal, and the ultimate quest for justice, will Lea and Jake save the day, or will supervillains prevail? Dive into this gripping tale that will leave you on the edge of your seat until the very end.”

If you are interested in THE RETURN OF THE CERULEAN BLUR, I bet you’ll enjoy SUPERFICIAL, too! Diane’s book is out now and mine will be published on Oct. 6. by @dianebillaswrites
