The Arts Council of Rockland is proud to present Nature’s Voices: Three Visions Inspired by the World Around Us, featuring the beautiful work of Milly Charles, Bonnie Goetz, and Diane Rosen. The natural world speaks to each of us in different ways, and in this exhibition, three talented Rockland County artists share their own unique interpretations.

While each artist approaches the natural world differently, their work shares a common thread: a deep connection to the landscapes, trees, water, light, and changing beauty of the world around us.

ACOR Hidden Treasure Gallery
Rockland County Courthouse, New City
On view through October 31, 2026

This exhibition is part of ACOR’s commitment to bringing art into public spaces where everyone can experience it. In collaboration with the Rockland County Jury Department and Commissioner of Jurors Sabrina Greco, the Hidden Treasure Gallery provides local artists with an opportunity to share their work with more than 10,000 courthouse visitors each year. by @dianerosenstudio

At the Still Point. Pastel on red Fabriano paper, 39 x 27".
“At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless; Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is...Except for the point, the still point, There would be no dance, and there is only the dance." (TS Eliot, Burnt Norton) by @dianerosenstudio

Delighted that along with several other artists from around the world, my work is featured in an article and interview in the current issue of MOZAÏK-- a cultural, digital, independent and free quarterly: “There are painters who depict the world as it is, and those who paint what lies beneath. Diane Rosen belongs to the second category. Trained at the Art Students League in New York and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, she has crafted a language all her own: pastel works where the female figure hovers between realism and abstraction, between what is felt and what cannot quite be named. We sat down with her to find out more.”

“Each of us is one and many, balancing such forces as reason and emotion, visible and hidden, power and submission. In my expressive realist work, figures often exist in such indeterminate zones where intermingled memory, subjective experience and/or longing are the focus. Exploring these uncertain but fertile liminal zones is what interest me; I see them as the psychological-emotional terrain that holds potential for personal transformation and emergence.”
