An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward so when you feel like life is dragging you back with difficulties, it only means it’s going to launch you into something great.
Just like the bow must be drawn back to give the arrow power and direction, life’s setbacks are often preparation, not punishment. The pressure, delay, or discomfort you feel may be strengthening your focus, faith, and resilience. When you stay aligned with purpose like an arrow aimed at a target, those backward moments become the force that propels you forward into growth, clarity, and destiny. Every second spent with my son is the most wonderful and blessed time. by @dianfin1961

LIFE is short. Cut out the NEGATIVITY, forget GOSSIP, and spend time with people who VALUE and APPRECIATE your company. She's my Soul Sister @chabela_70, one of the most caring, trustworthy, and kind individuals I've crossed paths with. The way she looks out and cares for me, BUT that's after she's had a belly full of laugh, THEN she'll point out what's wrong with me.🙈🤦‍♀️TOGETHER, we're an EXPLOSION. There's no one who knows me like she and @minettegillett. Those 2 together, ayyyyyy NO GOOD. MY SOUL SISTERS love them beyond words. by @dianfin1961

What a night this was as I watched IN ENVY, how Aurelio DANCED. The rhythm in his movement, the way he moved his feet and waist as if though he had no bones. In my thoughts I had OUTDANCED him and the crowd applauded ME. 🙈🤦‍♀️ (in your dreams Dianne). When we spoke he'd say "cintura Mrs. Finnegan solo izquiera derecha y cintura" ayyyyyy. Solo Dios sabe porque TU but I know you'll turn, wherever souls meet, UPSIDE DOWN, when your soul cross path with my dear friend Andy Palacio. 🥲Like Andy you BOTH lived your PURPOSE and LIFE- STORY in the world of MUSIC that will last a life time and generations to come. You will NEVER be everybody's cup of tea, so stop trying to change YOUR FLAVOR to please everybody who is THIRSTY for something. This version of me, wasn't built overnight. THIS ME, is an accumulation of MISTAKES, EXPERIENCE, PAIN, INSECURITIES. I had to go through a whole lot, in order to get to the level I'm at now. Listen, even God who FED THE MULTITUDES was crucified on the cross, so just focus on being a good person, spread kindness, and make sure you do not hurt anyone as you journey through life, because IT IS WRITTEN, "whatsoever you SOW, THAT, shall you REAP." Taking an honest look at ourselves requires COURAGE, which is why most people don't do it. At my age, the only thing I stopped wearing, is THE WEIGHT of other people's negative opinion of me. I'm BLESS with a small circle of GENUINE FRIENDS and the people who are meant to be in my life will STAY, and those that are meant to go, will GO. My energy isn't for everyone and that's OK. Last night was MAGICAL. My friends and I decided we'd go watch the Semi final karaoke competition at Hakeem Shipyard. I want to commend Ash Belize for hosting such a wonderful event. What amazed me was that even though Ash is a young guy, HIS AUDIENCE were MATURE ADULTS, from over 60 to the younger generation. It was a COMFORTABLE SPACE to enjoy a night of GREAT TALENT, EXCEPTIONAL SINGERS with my LIFE TIME FRIENDS Karen Vasquez Woolcock, Carolyn Brannon and my ONE and ONLY Dev. When the competition was over, it was just like the Cinderella story, WE ALL (the older folks) 🙈🤭 got up and head to the exit door. It was WAY PAST our bedtime 🤣🤣. BIG UP to MY CHOICE: Tifara Lindo STRAIGHT 10 and the Judges: my dear friend Tremett Perriott, Marilyn Vansen not sure the name of the other young lady and of course the tabulater my niece Taryn Usher Gongora. Looking forward to the gran finale next week. by @dianfin1961

FRIENDSHIP is THE WORLDS GREATEST INVENTION. I am FASCINATED by GENUINE FRIENDSHIP. Many times it's the only thing that makes me feel that I'm not alone as I journey through this chaotic world. I have a small circle of friends, we may rarely see each other, and our personalities are sooooo different, but OUR FRIENDSHIP, keeps us TOGETHER. From childhood friends to those I met when I came to Belize in 1983, WE remain CONNECTED. Shawla Meighan, Minette O Gillett, Sue, Veronica Smith, Karen Vasquez Woolcock, Carolyn Brannon, Ema Freeman, Erika Goldson and my ONE and ONLY Dev: Thanks for being the ears that I share my deepest thoughts and secrets to. You ALL know EVERYTHING about me. You know my weaknesses and my strengths. You're truly my therapeutic gifts of life. Gosh, the way you ALL are ALWAYS there for me, making me smile, rescuing me from THE TROPICAL STORMS I choose to step into especially Shawls and Min 🙊🙈🙉🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ and you NEVER asking for anything in return. It is the greatest honor to call you all MY SOUL FRIENDS. You ALL bring PEACE and WARMTH to my soul. So here's to Stepping into 2025 with ALL of YOU. WOOOOW I'm sooooo surprised at Hon. John Briceno's interview reference Hon. Shyne Barrow documentary. No matter how much ANYONE would want to erase him off this Earth, HE IS a BELIZEAN and has EARNED where he is today. Hon. John Briceno you're not only the Prime Minister of Belize you're A DAD and YOU, just like MANY within our society knows how UNPREDICTABLE life is. One moment you're enjoying each other as a family and NEXT MOMENT, in the blink of an eye, all that is RIPPED away from you. The sad thing about the attacks on Shyne is THE HYPOCRISY behind it. There's an L.I.U. which is suppose to be A HOME of HOPE of SECOND CHANCES for individuals who chose the wrong path, yet DAILY, all they see, are CEMENT BLOCKS and GRINADES thrown at Shyne to PREVENT HIM from BECOMING who he ASPIRES to become. When you hear Shyne speak, YOU KNOW he spent years educating himself. I can see why we will NEVER see an end to crime and violence because YOU'VE MANIFESTED TONIGHT to all those individuals whom are working towards putting their past behind them, that no matter what they do, they'll NEVER reach their level of greatness because THEIR PAST, WILL ALWAYS be brought up as a REMINDER that where they are, is where they'll ALWAYS REMAIN. So many EXCEPTIONAL BELIZEAN ARTIST who I'm positive WISH they could be recognized for their greatness. I don't see ANYONE investing in them so THEY can get the exposure and recognition they need. Careful how you speak of another mother's child because LIFE isn't over yet. All day I pray for my children, I look at their pictures and ask The Father to please guide their path because LIFE has a way of SHUTTING YOU UP when you take it for granted. Proud of you my Party Leader, the things you're going through, may be the way The Father is preparing you, for where he's taking you. Stay prayed up and protect your energy. by @dianfin1961

I have the KEYS and PASSPORT to my own journey, that is why every opportunity I get I educate myself in areas where I lack knowledge. "The strongest action for a woman is to love herself, be herself, and shine amongst those who never believed she could." It's about embracing SELF-LOVE and AUTHENTICITY, while also shining BRILLIANTLY despite the skepticism of those who doubted her capabilities. Christmas for me is MORE than WRAPPED PRESENTS under the tree, it's about TIME SPENT with FRIENDS. WE made time for ONE SLEEP OVER before Christmas. My dear Carolyn and @kdv.w what can I say? God bless us everyone YOU, ME and all our family. With friends like you two, I don't need Rudolf to light my way, so as Christmas draws nearer, may the joy in your heart be as TRUE as THE FEELING of FRIENDSHIP I have with you both.
