this trip definitely didn’t go according to plan. We had two cancelled flights - one two weeks before the trip and another just one day before departure. Then our first train was cancelled a week before we were supposed to travel, and on the second one, we were already sitting inside when, completely unexpectedly, stops along the route started getting cancelled. And, just to make things even more interesting, our bus was delayed by 30 minutes right before boarding

some of these things were simply out of our control, and unfortunately, all the unexpected changes meant spending more money than we had originally planned. But looking back, I still think it was worth it. Because at the end of the day, the experiences, emotions, places and memories we get from travelling are worth so much more than a perfectly planned itinerary

money can always be earned again, but you can’t get the same moments back. So don’t let the little things, cancelled plans or unexpected problems ruin your holiday. Sometimes the best stories come from the trips that didn’t go exactly as planned🤍 by @diary.porto

Munich or Stuttgart? 🍻

After experiencing both, here’s my take:
Stuttgart - easier to get to, less crowded (especially on weekdays), and much easier to find a free spot without planning everything in advance
Munich - bigger, more iconic, but also MUCH more crowded. And getting home afterwards? Let’s just say it can be an adventure 😅

Portugal vs Norway 🇵🇹🇳🇴
I didn’t even manage to get a ticket, but somehow I still ended up in the middle of it all
there were SO. MANY. PEOPLE. Everywhere
people in Portugal-Norway shirts, flags everywhere, everyone talking about the game, singing, cheering, waiting for the match to start

I didn’t get to experience it from inside the stadium, but honestly, the atmosphere outside was something else
so many people, so much noise, so much excitement - you could feel that something big was happening taken in Estádio Do Dragão by @diary.porto

If you want to witness the power of the Atlantic Ocean, head to Felgueiras Lighthouse in Porto. The waves crashing against the lighthouse are quite a spectacle, especially on a windy day 🌊

there’s something truly magical about standing at Serra do Pilar and watching Porto unfold beneath you 🇵🇹

the Dom Luís I Bridge stretching across the Douro, the colourful rooftops of Ribeira, the river reflecting the changing light, and the city slowly glowing as the sun begins to set - it’s the kind of view that makes you pause and forget about everything else for a moment

whether you visit in the golden afternoon light or stay until the city lights come on, Serra do Pilar has a way of making Porto feel even more special
