Been a northerner has it own perks at the same time disadvantages. We live by rules made by our ancestors all in the name of culture or traditions. As much as we appreciate it some of these rules are uncalled for and unreasonable, we don't have to taunt others for their misfortunes, ne disrespectful or even point mocking fingers at one another right?

Our mindset is backward and we need to change that. by @diary_of_eesherh

Title: life of an almajiri by @diary_of_eesherh

Helllooo, beautiful people! 🥹❤️

How are you all doing? It's been what? A minute?? That's what the English people call it, right? 😂

Well, it's been a WHOLE THREE YEARS, PEOPLE! 😭😂 I went MIA, and well… your girl is back!

But first, a little introduction for our new members and a refresher for the MVPs! 🤭

Hello, beautiful people! Your host here goes by Aisha… Eesherh… Aishatou… whichever one you fancy😌. I'm a writer, a voice-over and spoken-word artist, and a little bit of a creative writer here and there. Basically, I play with words in different ways🌚.

I've been thinking about how to make my grand re-entry, but honestly, is there a formula for a comeback? Maybe a red carpet?😂

So, in the absence of all that, YOUR GIRL IS BACK! And hopefully, for good this time. 🤞🏽😂 I'm not entirely back in my writer's era yet, but we'll figure that out together.

For now, I'll be sharing some old write-ups; the ones I scribbled, framed, and then proceeded to forget about. 😭😂 You might notice a few mistakes. Trust me, I've noticed them too, but I wasn't about to go through the stress of re-framing everything. We'll leave them for history and nostalgia's sake. Besides, perfection only exists in fantasies, right? 👀

Now, here's where you come in!🤭🌚

Like, comment, share, contribute, criticise constructively, suggest, collaborate… the whole package! Lamarin duniya sai da fulus koh? 😭😂💸

And abeg, don't just scroll past my posts! Tell me your favourite line or stanza, what the piece made you feel, and your interpretation. Let's bring this space to life again, one piece at a time. ❤️🖋️

Make una show love ooo! Yawwa! 😂🫶🏽

Until next time, take care of yourselves and be kind to your hearts.

Yours truly,

#the_secret_writer 🖋️✨

P.S. I kid you not, I spent almost 20 minutes trying to figure out how to make this post because I've genuinely forgotten how Instagram works. 😭😂 THREE YEARS AWAY AND I'VE LOST MY POSTING PRIVILEGES! 💔

So, after all that stress, you people had better engage ooo! Don't come and disgrace me, yawwa! 😭😂❤️

Read till the end and answer the questions

soo IG decided to remind me of this and somehow it brought tears to my eyes🥺. This has always been favorite song to be honest and forever series goes a long way and is very dear to my heart ❤

"Amar" my love for this name knows no bound wallah,to be specific "Ya Amar" I do ready endearment for future husband,na only to show e remain😂

I have always been a dark writer, I relate with dark poems a lot and love it with every fiber in my being...after been bugged countless times by @fyserl_quotes @_fatimah.ismail @unknownsoulpoetry aysherh Lawandy, Ya Ahmad and all about always writing dark poems and that I should something else,I mean a different genre. as @_fatimah.ismail will say " if your words were as dark as your like then bro even darkness will bow at your feet"😂😭 I decided to give it a try. After trying fantasy and naah I realized it wasn't my calling I decided to try love poems and guuuy I would rather write a million dark poems than a single love poem coz it's hard like bro how do y'all come up with all these?😂 and I always say this @alee_officialle and my darling ibi Mr.X are geniuses because for the life of me I can't imagine writing that genre all the time.

And that's how Amar series came about,I can't remember where I got the inspiration from but after realizing I can't come up with a good love poem, I decided to make short write ups #forever_series# and one of them was inspired by anty fatee @_fatimah.ismail more like a redesigned version😂❤.

It might be a simple write up but just like "life of an almajiri" billah it's very close to my heart, I wouldn't mind trading my Nescafe, Malt and Smoov for that inspiration to come back🥺❤. Hopefully I get to write something better in the future,a well constructed poem actually,hopefully.....
And boy insta did a good song selection❤.

so tell me what's your favorite line in each slide? what do you have to say about this? does it remind you of someone?tell me🤭 I will be glad to hear😁

Soo last month, I was jejely on my own when I received a call and the person was like
" Hi eesherh, I got your contact from a friend, you have a really nice voice and I will like you to work for me" I asked what the work was about and he told me, it was my line but there was a problem, they wanted a voiceover in hausa, nace anzo wajen 😂 the offer was too good to reject as sapa been hold me that time😂😭 so I agreed.

Asked when he wanted it and he said in two weeks time, in my head I was like I can pull it off, I have time. So after brainstorming for three days I finally penned something down and sent it for review, and i kept getting the same reply "this is close to perfect a'i, just slight changes and it will be okay" mind you it's my first time doing a hausa write up 🥱 come and see how I was feeling myself like girl you really did this 🥺 I'm Soo proud of you❤️❤️

Nobody told me the real deal was recording 😂😭 hausa no be my language, the small one wey I dey manage na wetin I want use do voice over?😂😭 Omo I suffered 🤧 got it after the 27th voiceover like can you imagine😭😭 shima da dan gargada, I was like billah I won't redo it, they either take it or leave it😂

With a heavy heart I sent it, fingers crossed he will like it and guess what?! Niggah said
" Ya rabbi, eesherh this is more than I expected and more than I payed for, you really outdid yourself and I soo much love it"😭❤️ can you imagine that? No right? I literally screamed the house down out of excitement and he wasn't joking when he said it was more than he paid for because ina zaune naga an turo min data(e plenty) like ya rabbi😭❤️

He said " I definitely have to come back and link you up with contacts" like guys I couldn't be more proud, my first attempt and it got this as a review, y'all know how good reviews feels like right?😂❤️

I couldn't have done it without my guys though, a very big thank you to Ibi na, yar daddy and maymunatu❤️❤️❤️ thank you all soo very much❤️❤️❤️
