Your birth month, your Crescent City savior *sticker edition 💖🪽

Let this serve as your reminder to read Crescent Cuty before ACOTAR 6 releases ***IN TWO WEEKS***

I can’t wait to reread House of Earth and Blood 😩 HOEAB and Queen of Shadows are her two best written books, and I stand by that.

Disclaimer bc this series keeps getting flagged as Al content: I used the background remover tool in Canva. NO GENERATIVE AI WAS USED ANYWHERE IN THIS PROCESS I PINKY PROMISE.

To create the stickers: choose subject in Canva graphics or photos > remove background if there is one > add white outline in shadows > go to texture app and select worn paper > adjust whites and highlights > add drop shadow and make sure all shadows are oriented similarly.

Lmk if you make your own!

ETA: these will be available as bookmarks soon!

This account recently had a birthday! To celebrate, I’m revisiting some of my earliest posts in my current style. My very first review still holds such a special place in my heart. Here’s what I originally said about it:

“First up in books you must read is:
🐍🩸🗡️🪽🌘
The Serpent and The Wings of Night. TSATWON is the first in the Crowns of Nyaxia series by
@carissabroadbentbooks. She quickly became one of my new favorite authors. She layers symmetry throughout each book in this series in ways both poignant and striking.

Oraya is up there with the women of Throne of Glass for my favorite FMCs. She is rage. She is fragility. She is power. ⚔️

Definitely add this one to your TBR, and Imk if you’ve read it and have thoughts!”

I went into this series only knowing there were vampires and magic, and as a former TVD & twilight girlie, I HAD to pick it up. Every second was thrilling and agonizing in all the best ways.

Raihn and Oraya are still two of my very favorite main characters both together and apart. Lowkey you can inject that Raihn edit into my bloodstream bc imo it’s so him 😮‍💨

Let’s celebrate our mediocre achievements bc we should take pride in the little things too 💅

My booksta anniversary was 2 days ago. That may not be important to most of the people in my life, but to me, it’s a marker of choosing something for myself for a whole year. I dove into romantasy while struggling with my mental and physical health postpartum with my second child. Those books woke up pieces of me that had been dormant for years. Pieces of me that longed to create, design, and puzzle.

This page brought me some of my closest friends. People I talk to every day. People who have been there for me during some of the scariest moments of my life and the difficult return after. People who traveled across the country to surprise me and love me and continue to do so from afar.

This page also launched me into the world of indie authors, content creation, and PA work. I cannot thank my authors enough for taking a chance on me as I continue to learn and for becoming my friends along the way. Every day I get to create for them is an honor.

So thank you for being here, for being kind, for making me laugh, for enjoying the little creations of a night lizard 🌘✨

If you’ve made it this far, I have lots of cool things coming: an Etsy shop for bookish merch, content packages for authors, a collab with another really cool creator with designs I’m SO excited about, and who knows what else 😘

If you need someone to celebrate the little things with you, I am here 🖤

(all background photos are my own except for slide 5 which is from canva)

The story of the Stonewater Kingdom has come to a close, a magnificent end. Yet what is an end but another beginning?

The Knight and the Moth was my favorite book of 2025, and The Knave and the Moon is my favorite book of 2026 so far. When I first stepped into Traum, I never expected it to bring me one of my best friends and a cast of characters who would nestle their way into my heart and never leave.

I drug out this story for weeks, afraid to look truth in its eyes, to see the end and what it may reflect back at me. But we cannot look forward if we do not look back.

In a world of despair and tragedy, this is a story of hope. It’s exactly what we need, what I needed. Happiness is unsustainable, but hope. Hope fuels us. Hope carries us through injustice, sorrow, loss. Hope shows us things can be better than they’ve been.

Thank you, Bartholomew, for your story.

Canva tut’ (tutorial; toot) time!

I screen recorded this for my bestie earlier and figured it might help someone else! When I first started my book acct, I mainly just tinkered around to figure things out. Those white spines VEXED me, and I eventually found the color changing feature.

Lmk if there’s anything else you’d love a tut’ for! And in the meantime, check out Ravenminder by @authorlindsaycummings 🐦‍⬛💜🏔️❄️🏰

This is a love letter to @touchheranddiereads actually 💁‍♀️

Kel is a GIRL’S GIRL who makes high quality bookish apparel. I like to order oversized and cut em up but I won’t be doing that with this gorgeous Halloween drop! I have the grim reader sweatshirt and sticker tee on their way to me as we speak and I CANNOT wait to get my grubby lil paws on them 😮‍💨

Use LIZARDREADS on your order for a discount and lmk what you get 🫶
