This experience was for sure one for the books and will be revisited soon🙏🏾. It was truly a blessing and honor to make it this far my first go round as a finalist for the @wizardsdancers . This was one of the best experiences I’ve had and I could not be any more grateful than what I currently am. Thank you God for it all! To the beautiful people that was in the room! Way to go everyone and I’m so happy I was able to meet and dance with you all. Special shoutout to my TWIN/lil brother @justyonbaines for literally being my right hand this entire process and @richardd.ar for being there every step of the way!. To the entire 26/27 team! Yall are a force to be reckoned with and can’t wait to see you all do it big this season! Yall are truly talented😮‍💨✨. Thank you to the coaches and choreographers for making this process very professional, heartwarming and welcoming! I’ll forever remember this and grateful for each and everyone of you! Cheers to 5 complete years.. Who would have thought what started as a side quest of subbing would have been a full time position waiting for me 2 days later. This by far was the one thing never on my bucket list but I realized God always had greater plans. This school year was about healing, impacting and supporting. Healing from hurt and trauma of previous work places and teacher-student relationships, impacting a generation that learned more than what the lesson plans offered, and supporting them emotionally and mentally to be more than the average second grader. My kiddos were the higher scoring second grade class and had the most gains this year compared to data before me entering! They became accustomed to speaking when they enter a room, voicing their emotions instead of crying and being silent about what hurt their little feelings. Most of all, they somehow found a way to tie God into every situation/assignment and that was the most special part about it all. Thank you Dania Elementary for such a peaceful, fun and adventurous year. Shoutout to my admin for being so kind, sane and respectful throughout this journey! It meant so much and restored pieces of trust I had lost. This chapter of education is officially closed! April 20, 2019 a moment was created with my first established dance company. With 18 dancers and just a vision and dream supported by a strong community ✨. Reflecting back on this production, I can say each other these dancers made it possible for many other adventures I’ve taken on since this very day!
