Finally got round to posting this—

If instagram crashes one more time…🤏🏾

⭐️ Just another round of thank yous to everyone who made this happen, it hasn’t been long since I started Trying, intentionally to create, and to have people such as the tutors at My college help and encourage me to do more, aswell as friends who lent me their ears and arms when this year got tough, I can’t thank you enough.

In all honesty the last year I had no clue who I was going to be or where I was gonna be at the end of it, I had one dream and goal which was to get to Ual, and since I had done that, my foundation years primary focus became growth, in relationships with God, myself and others , as well as in my own creative practice. This year taught me so much about myself that I didn’t know, it taught me that I am stronger than I think, funnier than I think, more resilient, more thoughtful and respectful than I ever thought I could be, I allowed myself love , I learnt what I hate, and each new bit of information brought me closer to myself in a journey that doesn’t stop the day I graduate , but one that continues until My numbered days come to an end (I’m aware that sounds a bit morbid lol)

I am so grateful to every last one of you that are still here, and to all of you who took this course with me I hope you’re doing well! 🤍

How do we encourage people to connect with their clothes for longer? Quality and emotional value both play a role. The project titled, ‘what’s left remains’ explores how, by reinterpreting existing garment archetypes, and allowing room for the wearer to impose their own style on them, we can encourage a long lasting relationship between garment and wearer that evolves and even embraces signs of age over time.
