Powers.
Took awhile for me to translate into a sound. It is about succumbing to failure, taking love and power for granted, and realizing too late how something so beautiful can also drain you. It is about standing next to something or someone radiant and feeling the weight of it. The internal battle of not knowing how to carry it, or if you are even meant to.

At its core, Powers. is half prayer and half sacrifice. You are watching someone glow, holding space for their power, maybe even trying to stay out of their way.

I hope this song meets you where you are, and takes you somewhere only you can understand.

Album mode.

I ain’t reading that: I’m starting my album, choosing from 68 songs. Say hi.

It’s hard for me to decide when I need to stop making new songs and end my journey to begin the process of finally completing. I find myself flooded with an infinite checklist that sends me into a spiral of doubt and procrastination. From the rollout of ‘Not 4 Long’, I found out that when I posted my finalized checklist on Instagram it cemented my decision that I need to complete art because I made it known. So here I am.

Slide 2 you see me going through every Abelton project file. I found that I made 68 possible songs in the first 6 months of moving to Houston. On the first 3 months I originally planned on releasing a mixtape called ‘Know I Mean’ and spent months listening through and then boom I just threw it. On next 3 months I made a set of songs for a project called ‘Dip & Dots’ which I crafted into the ground. Im not sure if any of these will see the light of day by name but it’s on me to try my best to condense both of these into a 8-12 track project and learn to let go.

I was supposed to post this at the beginning of June but hit a depressive episode that led me out of believing music again lol oof, I posted on story and asked for someone to give me a deadline and @dstevemixes set it for the end of August so shout out to him that’s what I aim to do.

Im not sure on release date yet but know that I’ve got some major work to do with my social media presence and will begin posting like a “modern day” musician. So if you start to see me post a lot of bs, mind ya business 😂 lmao I’m just trying to get my art out 😭

Thank you to everyone that supports me and helps me when time and time again I battle with quitting music.

Please note that through and through with this and the last project I did Every. Single. Step. from start to finish. I found that no one really gives a shit at the end of the day because the end product is the only thing people care for. But if there is anyone out there that cares. It’s writing, recording, producing, mixing, mastering, designing the art, directing, editing my own music videos, distribution, copyright. Plz help

I’ve always had issues with creating art I love and caring how others view it or judge it. For years I’ve made a ridiculous amount of songs where I could listen to them on repeat for months and end up throwing them away. The good half is that I did what I loved and it brought me joy and the other half I fight is that I feared releasing for some reason. Hibernate is one of the first steps into releasing what I genuinely love and allowing myself to come forward as the artist I want to be. I made the entire song from start to finish January 21st in about 6 hours. From producing the beat, recording vocals, and most of the mixing. For the month on I created 9 different mixes and finally mastered it. Idk what I’m yapping on about but new song out everywhere lol. 💿

I don’t ask you to love what I make but I do ask for support on what I love to do. Thank you if you made it this far 🙏🏾

Happy Valentine’s Day @babymxxndy 🌹

Moving to LA was one of the most important moments in my life. No family no friends, just you and me. Old School Baby was my first official single after moving and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

We filmed this music video November of 2021 but life caught up and footage made its way through the archives as life passed us.

I’m super thankful, although very late that the music video has finally made it to a final piece of art that showcases a time in life I’ll never forget with you.
