Currently cycling across the Andes 🏔️
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
A few days ago, three members of the Rayon Vert and @gggg.bici team set off on what many would call the trip of a lifetime.

Spending 11 months crossing the entire Andes from north to south is the idea behind the Total Kordillera Trail, a route created by @trauzl by linking together existing tracks and new sections to be ridden alongside fellow adventurers @ciocis_ and @dicor.sa

The journey will take them through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina, often reaching altitudes of nearly 5,000 meters above sea level, covering more than 14,000 kilometers and over 268,000 meters of elevation gain, while constantly chasing the best weather as they make their way further and further south.

We wish them the best of luck and hope they enjoy every moment of this incredible adventure over the coming months! If you’d like to follow their journey in more detail, be sure to check out their profiles.

Month 3 recap! From the Ecuadorian border all the way to Oyon, going from the warm lowlands of northern Peru to the snowy peaks of the Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash❄️

Got used to living above 4000m, not seeing anyone but alpacas and vicuñas for days, and endless celebrations in every pueblo we passed through (and to being fucking careful about what we eat and drink, food poisoning ain’t fun ☠️)

2nd month on the road: Ecuador extravaganza 🇪🇨

After an incredible first month through Colombia, we crossed into Ecuador via the Rumichaca border and spent a full month making our way across this incredible and diverse country.

After a few days, @ciocis_ decided to head off on his own for an Amazonian spiritual retreat, but soon after we met @forasterocol in Quito, who ended up riding the whole way with us along the Trans Ecuador Mountain Bike Route (on a gravel bike!!)

As we made our way south, we kept climbing higher and higher, getting used to living above 3000m, leaving the tropical heat behind and finally getting a taste of real wilderness and proper Andean landscapes.

We got up to the foothills of some of the most spectacular volcanoes the country is packed with: Cotopaxi, Quilotoa and Chimborazo🌋 We froze our asses off in their snow, then warmed up in their thermal waters 💆‍♂️

We met our first alpacas and wild vicuñas, saw many Inca ruins and got lost in the incredible variety of local markets and town life.

And the higher we went, the stronger the presence of Ecuador’s Indigenous communities became. We were genuinely blown away by their culture, hospitality and traditions. As we started to improve our Spanish, the people around us started speaking Kichwa.

We’re incredibly grateful to all the people who welcomed us into their homes and invited us to the fiestas, who cheered us on the climbs and who helped us sort out crazy mechanicals in the middle of nowhere🔧

Hasta luego Ecuador 🤝

Thanks to all our supporters:

First month in the books!🇨🇴

A month ago we left Bogotá with one simple goal: keep heading south, all the way to Patagonia🌬️

In these first 1200kms across Colombia, we crossed the vast landscapes of the Sumapaz Páramo, climbed high into the Andes, then dropped all the way down to Mocoa, one of the gateways to the Amazon, via the legendary Trampolín de la Muerte. Along the way we passed through countless towns and villages like Cabrera, Villarrica, Dolores, Tello, Neiva, Hobo and Pasto before finally reaching the Ecuadorian border

We’ve climbed to almost 4,000 meters, realized we completely miscalculated the rainy season, been welcomed to the Amazon by thousands of mosquitoes, cuddled hundreds of friendly dogs and been chased by hundreds more

Food was definitely one of the highlights. We’ve fueled ourselves with endless bowls of soup, arroz, plátano, eggs, exotic fruit juices… and more than a few Águilas🍻

But what we’ll remember most are the people. The ones who opened their homes, shared their tables, stories and kindness, reminding us that the best part of every journey isn’t just the road itself, but the human connections we make along the way

This is just the beginning. We can’t wait to see what the next months have in store⚔️

And of course, a huge thanks to all the friends supporting us in this adventure:

#pressrelease

[...] “When Species Don’t Meet” stems from a desire to question the ways in which animality is observed, represented, and exhibited within various institutional and architectural settings. The project takes shape from a reflection on the limits of the zoological gaze and on the conditions that make encounters between species possible, questioning the dynamics of exhibition, spectacularization, and control that have historically defined the relationship between humans and animals.
Natural history museums, understood as devices for the production and sharing of knowledge, have contributed to establishing the forms through which living beings are classified, made visible, and transformed into images. From taxidermy to dioramas, and through the more recent immersive and educational strategies, these institutions have exhibited animals through systems of representation that, far from presenting them as neutral presences, operate within frameworks of scientific, narrative, and visual mediation.
[...] Here the device is dismantled and rendered opaque, revealing its fractures, its fictions, and the structural limits of the encounter between species. [...] (from pr, English translation: Dobroslawa Nowak)

Ci vediamo all’opening Sabato 23 Maggio 2026 ore h 18.00 !

66 × 21.5 × 14 cm
Ph. Alberto Favara

Davide Dicorato acts as a mediator between the tangible and the conceptual. Through installation-based interventions that transform natural elements and artifacts, he explores decontextualization as a way to rethink the relationship between humanity and its environment.

His research engages themes of human–nature relations, identity, time and contemporary archaeology, seeking new balances and perspectives on existence.

The book ‘Spirito Libro’, launched on the occasion of the Project Room on February 13, is still available.
