finally tried the VIRAL hidden Vietnamese spot in Scarborough 🇻🇳🛵🍲 and it’s so worth the hype 😭❤️

a lil taste of Saigon in Toronto by @didi.midland ✨

from the tiny colorful chairs to the street-style setup & ALL the snacks 🥨 such a cute spot to hang with friends 🛵✨

the menu has way more than just pho, and the spring rolls were my faveeee 💖🌭

The Gỏi Cuốn were packed with herbs, greens, vermicelli, pork, and shrimp, and that peanut sauce was fire.

The Bánh Mì was crispy, while the Bánh Mì Bò tasted just like pho in sandwich form, with incredibly tender, flavorful brisket.

The Cánh Gà Chiên Giòn were seriously addictive, with an insane crunch and lemongrass flavor that really stood out.

We also totally understand the hype around the viral Bánh Ít Ram. Crispy fried mochi topped with a meat-filled steamed mochi dumpling? Messy with the fish sauce, but absolutely worth it.

The Bánh Cuốn was perfect. Texture, filling, vietnamese hams. No notes.

Xôi Thịt Kho Trứng was packed with sticky, slightly sweet rice, braised pork belly, and fried quail eggs.

We finished with a strong Cà Phê Sữa Đá that instantly took us back to Vietnam and a refreshing Chè 3 Màu with coconut ice cream. We were already stuffed but somehow still demolished it!

Midland, this is your next quick affordable eats! Di Di is serving vietnamese breakfast dishes 🫶🏻 I love the crab spring roll, chicken wings and rice roll!! Also don’t skip the fresh coconut water and che 3 mau for the jelly dessert.

And yes they serve the viral Vietnamese fried mochi, Banh It Ram🤯

A little of Vietnam’s street breakfast culture just landed in Toronto 🇻🇳☕️🥢

New to the city, DiDi Vietnamese Breakfast @didi.midland brings the casual energy of Vietnamese street vendors to Scarborough, with an all-day menu serving up bánh cuốn, soft steamed rice rolls; bánh mì; sticky rice; Vietnamese iced coffee; and bánh ít ram, where a crisp fried rice cake meets a savoury, chewy mochi dumpling.

The vibe is relaxed, the portions are good for sharing, and you don’t need to choose between breakfast, lunch and dinner. I’m not complaining.

Finally tried the viral bánh ram ít at Di Di Vietnamese Breakfast 👀🇻🇳

Crispy on the bottom, chewy on top, and SO satisfying with that savoury filling. I’ve been seeing this all over my feed and was getting major FOMO😭❤️

Bánh appetit 😋

@didi.midland is serving all day Vietnamese breakfast in Scarborough, including the viral Bánh Ram Ít, a crispy fried sticky rice dumpling topped with a soft and chewy steamed rice dumpling.

I also loved their Bánh Cuốn, delicate steamed rice rolls filled with seasoned pork and mushrooms and served with fish sauce on the side. It’s the kind of comfort food I could eat all year round 😍

@didi.midland is the closest you’ll get to eating street-side Vietnamese breakfast in Toronto! 🇻🇳🍳

It was our first time trying many of these Viet dishes, and we enjoyed all of them! Especially the viral Bánh ít ram, with a soft, mochi-like dumpling on top of a crispy fried rice cake. 🤤

Plus, all the other menu items we tried were so good!
