A year ago, I made the decision to get baptized and fully give my life to God. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy—I knew I was stepping into a journey. This walk with God is an everyday decision, and it doesn’t always get easier. But it’s worth it every single time.

One of the greatest gifts this journey gave me was a renewed closeness with my family. I’ve always been close to them, but this season taught me to truly appreciate them—their prayers, their wisdom, their presence, and the way they love me through every season. That love has become my safe place.

This season also required sacrifice. I’ve had to let go of certain relationships—both romantic and platonic. I lost people I never imagined losing, but the ones who stayed mean even more to me now. I’ve learned to value friendships on a deeper, more intentional level and to recognize that sometimes God removes so He can also restore.

If you had told me a year ago that I’d write a book, go live on TikTok to lead Bible studies, and post clips of God’s word online—I would’ve laughed. But look at how God transforms.
There are still moments I struggle with imposter syndrome because I remember where I came from. But that’s exactly what keeps me grounded. I know who I was without God, and I never want to go back to that girl again.
