Everybody knows I do NOT play about my brother. 😂❤️ and today is his birthday!

Today we’re celebrating @dr.robertdrummond — Dr. Dr. D — who is now out in Beverly Hills being the King of Edges as co-founder of @crownhairinstitute 👑

But see… I remember BEFORE all of that.

Before the degrees.
Before Beverly Hills.
Before the hairlines. 😂

I remember when he was the KING of peanut butter & jelly sandwiches — made by ME, of course — chicken wings, honey buns, ranch dressing, and French fries. 😂😂😂

And now look at him.

Watching my little brother grow into the man, doctor, entrepreneur, and leader he is today makes me ridiculously proud. I will brag on him, protect him, celebrate him, and remind him where it all started every chance I get. That is literally my job. 😂❤️

But beyond how proud I am of him, I appreciate him more than he probably knows. He has truly been my Day 1 — through every version of me, every season, every high and every low. There’s something special about having someone who has known you your whole life and continues to stand beside you. ❤️

Happy Birthday, Robert!! 🎉🎂

Growth has looked a lot different than I thought it would.

Some of it has been quiet.
Some of it has been uncomfortable.
Some of it has looked like learning again, trusting myself more, and becoming more intentional about the life I’m building.

And lately, I’ve been realizing just how much rebuilding can create.

More peace.
More confidence.
More clarity.
More joy.

That may be my favorite part of growth…

You stop trying to fit into an old version of yourself and start making room for who you’re becoming.

And I really like who she’s becoming. ✨

Age is just a number, and my 70-year-old mom is living proof! ⚡️

She hadn’t double dutched in 60 years, but look at her go! She’s a total firecracker—from weekly line dancing to roller coasters and chasing after the grandkids/great grandkids, she keeps us all on our toes. She’s officially joining a double Dutch over 40 group, and honestly?…
I hope I have even half her energy at her age! 😍

Congratulations to my beautiful niece, @_kaeladrummond , on graduating at the top of her class and beginning her next chapter at Spelman College! 🎓✨

👏🏾Am I the only one that finds transition exciting and daunting at the same time? 🥹 Let me share w/ you!⤵️

✨With major changes, I always reflect on the lessons I’ve learned and how I can apply them to the new season. Recently, I took inventory of the gifts that God has given me and realized there are things that were on my heart that I’ve been hesitant to pursue. I had to have a serious talk with myself and asked, “Are you afraid of what you can truly become? Why are you holding back?”

✨Each of us carries so much potential that has yet to be unleashed. It’s okay to let our full light shine—that’s what we’re here for.
