“Everything in life happens for your greatest good” ~ Jay Z I just took a look at our first flyer and it read “Didi Lifestyle & Friends” I’d like to dedicate this post to each and everyone of you who has been part and parcel of this amazing journey. To my Dj friends (I’d like to start with you) because you guys were the easiest calls to make. Thank you for always saying “YES” to me. I wish I could name all of you but, I’m avoiding situations where.. username @u.x.i_za might send me a text and say “Why nna osa’mpali” 😂 When we started Sundays R4 Lovers, we looked at all the lineups happening around us (Yes Joburg👀)… we could even guess who’s playing where. We’d play roulette over how obvious the names associated with events would get the first shout… We wanted our dj deck to be as opportune as possible. Not only to unearth, source or even breakthrough.. but to KEEP and NOT compromise on Quality (Vital). Not an easy brief to tackle.. but looking at our natural states of being.. We were always going to achieve the polar opposite of what we were exposed to. And oh boy we did! 😩😅I’m itching to name drop some of my favourite dj’s, we’ve come across.. but again, I don’t want texts, askies 😂 (ha ke batli Di message) To the chefs: Y’all turned me into a foodie.. but I still cant see the weight 🤣 Thank you for always listening to me say “a Sunday lunch should have some chakalaka le beetroot” when y’all wanted to go full on Gordon Ramsey in the middle of Greenside 😂To my heart: @draper_sa and @mokamp. I can’t thank you enough. This post was initially about my friends. This part remains… it still is.. no amount of love, no amount of tequila (Geez)… and our escapades to Alpaca😭… Thank you for being real ones (365DS❤️) To the the last Sundays R4 Lovers.
