I said I was making a quick PIT STOP. That was 2 hours ago 😭🏁

Pitstop Eatery out on Dequindre in Warren, and the name is a LIE 😂 Nobody making a “quick stop” here. I rolled in like a NASCAR driver: in, out, fresh tires, back on the track. Plan changed.

Walked in on “just lunch” energy and left on “when I’m coming back” energy 😤 Easy, no-rush vibe, and the food? I’m still thinking about it in traffic 😭

Y’all keep making best restaurants in Detroit lists and forgetting Warren exist. Not today 🫡

It’s 11:45 at night. You out. Everything closed. Except one spot 👀📱

Y’all know how many times I done threw clothes on at 11 o’clock for a run I ain’t wanna make? 😭 That’s over. I’m in the house. House shoes on. Order placed. They bring it to ME.

And the prices had me double-checking the total like “that’s it?” 👀 No “we the only ones open so we charging what we want” energy. They actually be having deals.

When you name your restaurant SLAP, you done wrote a check with your whole chest 😤 You can’t come out here with a mediocre wrap after that. That’s false advertising and I WILL say something 😂

Good news: it slapped 🫡

That garlic sauce though? Whew. Put it on everything, then don’t talk to nobody close-range for about 4 hours 😭🧄 Worth it. I’d do it again tonight.

Wrap came out hot and tight, no soggy nonsense, meat seasoned all the way THROUGH. Not just seasoned on the outside like some spots be doing 👀

And y’all know Detroit got some of the best Middle Eastern food in the whole country, so the bar out here is HIGH. They ain’t trip over it.

Them lamb chops seasoned like it’s a family recipe nobody telling. The alfredo potato is a baked potato that went to college and came back with a degree 🥔🎓 And the Chitarita, the house drink? Sip it SLOW. I’m serious 🫡🍹

The Hot Honey Burger? That sweet-then-heat combo hit different. You take a bite, it’s sweet… then about 3 seconds later the heat show up like “oh you thought” 🥵😂

And the Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Wings — hot honey AND lemon pepper on the SAME wing? Who approved this? Whoever it was, give them a raise and a parking spot 🏆🍗

Halal, on Michigan Ave, and still got that fun energy they always had. Came for the nostalgia, stayed for the napkins I definitely needed 🫡

Parrots Bar & Grille out on Livernois — the Avenue of Fashion — and listen, they got the LIGHTING right, the R&B playing grown, and cocktails that look like they belong in Vegas 😌🍸

Walked in and immediately understood: this ain’t a “meet up with the boys” bar, this a “wear the good cologne” bar 😂 Different assignment entirely.

Steak Tacos with the chimichurri had me quiet. Beef bacon brussel sprouts with the blue cheese and balsamic? Who told them to do that 😤 And the Crown Sliders with that gouda… I ain’t share. I was asked. I declined 🫡

Grown, smooth, Black-owned, right in the neighborhood. Episode 2 of the series and we ain’t miss yet 📍

Y’all already seen me put Central Kitchen on when I hit the 8 Mile spot — now they done opened a NEW location on Schaefer and of course I had to go check it out first 👀
