✨GET TO KNOW ME ✨

Hi everyone, I’m Orlane 👋🏽 I’m 21 and I’m French 🇫🇷 but I grew up in Singapore 🇸🇬

To anyone’s that’s wants to know more about me, here is a part of my story:

- At 3, I was put in an English school in Canada and learnt English. I remember my mum leaving the classroom and it felt like mu world was falling apart. I could not understand anything anyone was saying to me but three months later I was fluent in English (to this day, I’m grateful for this because I would not be where I am today without my ability to speak English)

- At 11, my mum encouraged me to join a choir. At 12, I joined the school choir, was given a solo for the first concert of the year and discovered my most authentic way of communicating. My love for singing has never ceased (@orlaneenalro is my singing account).

- At 15, I was told that I would not get into Med school in the UK by a teacher. My dream had always been to become a doctor and that conversation really knocked my confidence.

- At 15 (or around that age), I discovered manifestation and the personal development world. Fell in love with it and have continued my own journey ever since.

- At 16, I started my journey to Med anyways and was met with more criticism by my English school teacher (my full journey to medicine is up on my YouTube channel if interested)

- At 17, I got accepted to two medical schools in the UK. My dream came true and I celebrated by going to Din Tai Fung with my family.

- At 18, I started my YouTube channel to help aspiring medical students get into med school. I had promised myself that if I was successful I would start a channel :)

- At 18, I moved on my own to the UK during C*VID. Was really difficult to leave my family but my passion kept me going.

- At 21, I went through a break-up that catapulted me onto a whole new self-discovery journey.

- At 21, I started a podcast where I share everything I know about living your best life, healing, manifestation and more!

- At 21, I just started a masters in tissue engineering to get more experience in research

One of the things I love the most about creativity is how it ebbs and flows, how you constantly have to adapt and surrender. As someone that has learnt to be very type A but is naturally creative, going on this songwriting/creative journey is a gift for me to learn how to flow again.

A permission slip to surrender and do something with all the feelings I experience.

At the beginning of 2025, I committed to sharing my creative and songwriting journey online with the ups and the downs. So here’s a conversation I recorded in march 2025 when I hit a creative wall. One where I was experience SO MUCH tension in heart between my inner child and my adult self. A tension between a pure desire to explore, have fun and make mistakes and then the more rational part of me that wants to succeed and follow rules.

The best way I can describe this video is REAL.

I didn’t edit it at all and I let you see the process of doubting and making decisions.

This isn’t a “I’m the expert and let me tell you what I know” video.

This is a “Hey, I’m a human going through an ebb. Here’s what’s going on. Here’s what I noticed. Here’s what I’ll do about it” type of video.

I’m sure that this will resonate with so many of you because as much as self-doubt makes us feel alone and like we’re the only ones going through it; it’s actually such a universal experience.

Officially graduated with my first degree, an MSc in Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine (with Distinction 🥹)!!

Honestly really proud of this achievement and excited to keep working to get the medical degree soon 🤩👩🏽‍🎓

Day in the life of a MED STUDENT & SINGER (with timestamps)👩🏽‍⚕️🎶

Join me on a SUNDAY in my life where I do all things singing, recording, editing and posting with a sprinkle of life reset. I call it life reset to make it sound fun but that basically where I do my house chores, cook for the week, wash my hair, do laundry…
Basically, all the not so glamourous things# that need to get done for me to be a functional and happy human.

Day in the life of a MED STUDENT & SINGER (with timestamps)👩🏽‍⚕️🎶

Honestly, these days I’m having a lot of fun figuring out how to balance both medicine and music. While it’s not always easy (& I get stressed about what the future will look like), they both make me happy and fulfill me in different ways so for now we’re pursuing both ✨

For the curious people out there, this day in the life was from a “teaching” day which means we’re not expected to go to hospital but we do have scheduled teaching sessions as well as protected time to study.
