Spooky season is officially here! 🎃🖤 Throwing it back to some of my favorite monster-inspired vintage pin-up shoots. From the Lagoon to Frankenstein’s lab, which look is taking the crown this year? ⚡️👀

Lazy Sunday mornings call for fresh cinnamon rolls and coffee!
Armagh Bramley apples, cider, spices, and dough. 🍂 Cracked open the Irish Black Butter jar at last—guess I'll just have to replenish the stash when I'm over in Ireland for book research next year! 🥐✨

Never a weekend without Tillie being a diva! She did this to me other week, wipers suddenly stopped during a rain storm on A27, I pulled off ASAP and waited for rain to die off before I cleaned the windscreen. Had initially assumed it was a rusty connection on the fuse, so headed off to B&Q for sandpaper, only to find no issues with the fuse. Instead it was the wiper cable, a quick tighten up and we are up and running again! #classicmini #minimayfair #minigirlsuk #girlmechanic by @digcrazygal

It is officially inked, sealed with wax, and posted! Marking the moment with coffee, cake, and a view of Percy Bysshe Shelley’s blue plaque makes for a perfect celebration.

Exciting Project Update: Contract Signed! 📚✨
I am thrilled to share that I have officially signed my book contract with Amberley Publishing for my upcoming non-fiction title, Hidden Magic: Folk Magic, Witchcraft and Superstition in Britain.
As an archaeologist, my work has always been rooted in material culture—the tangible objects everyday people left behind. Hidden Magic takes an object-led approach to explore how generations across Britain used physical items, architecture, and landscape deposits to navigate protection, healing, ritual, and belief.
From apotropaic marks and concealed deposits to folk talismans and sacred art, this book bridges academic archaeology and popular folklore to uncover the hidden histories woven into our material world.
A huge thank you to the team at Amberley Publishing for supporting this project. Now, back to manuscript preparation, image permissions, and deep dives into regional museum collections!

On days like these...
🚗💨 Self Preservation Society turned all the way up for Minis by the Sea!
The absolute highlight? Tillie brought home a rosette! 🏆 Ribbons, classic Minis, coastal breezes, and full-on Italian Job energy. Couldn't be prouder of the little car. 🇬🇧✨
